That would be FANTASTIC, but where are you seeing that? As of 6 hours ago (last position reported) it looks like a LONG way from Baltimore to me?!? Are you seeing something different?
http://www.sailwx.info/shiptrack/shi...tml?call=3EJK5

Just realized that was 6 hours and TWO DAYS AGO! Oops!

So where DID you get more updated info?

Port of Baltimore

Yeah, I want to know where you got that info too. The Port of Baltimore's website kinda sucks (ok, it REALLY sucks). The only 'schedule' that I could find was that little scrolly box at the top right of the page where it lists upcoming vessels and Western Highway isn't even included. None of the links seem to do anything either

Haha, I also just realized that the last report from WH was 6/20. I hope our ship didn't sink or get hijacked by pirates! Based on her position from her last report 2 days ago, it seems like she SHOULD be in Baltimore now.

From what I've heard, the sailwx site isn't very accurate once the ships get close to land.

If you check the Week 23 Support Group thread, someone else posted that the Western Highway was supposed to get in B-Mo on the 21st ... and that was before she even left.

I was/am assuming because I read ships at dock don't transmit and since we haven't seen an update since the 20th.

I tend to agree with your conclusion. The Western Highway's schedule: http://www.kline.com/KAMCarCarrier/S...g_Schedule.pdf shows it arrive in Baltimore tomorrow (6/23) departing for Charleston (6/24). Assuming it got to port early, let's hope the crew got a free day!

Hate to be heartless, but give the crew its free day AFTER it arrives in Charleston!

Once the WH leaves Baltimore, will it get far enough out to sea to be trackable on the sailwx site again?

I checked the Port of Charleston website, and they're showing the WH arriving on the 26th in Berth 4. Methinks those dates are probably pretty firm, and they don't allow ships to "come early." I would figure they make them wait offshore until they are ready for them.

Vesseltracker.com is showing the WH about 20 miles south of Baltimore. (Although it says it's the "delayed position.") Not sure if she's on her way in our out.

I AM GOING NUTS!!! Its like waiting for christmas, only ive looked in the attic and I know what im getting. I want want want want want it now. Im a pretty sensible guy but all this waiting and southern heat is getting to me. I can see two minis from my office in the parking lot...i wonder if the owners would let me drive it around the block just to get a quick fix. Maybe I can go to the dealer and get one more test drive...yeah thats it...just a quick test drive...

I have a problem. I use to work, now I know how to track shipping vessels for gods sake. Whats wrong with me. I want my mini so i can have my life back.

Just needed to rant.

I just talked to my MA. He said Oliver's due in Charleston on the 26th, and should be in DFW by the 3rd or 5th, depending on whether or not the truck driver wants to "go home for the 4th."

The only thing I get on that site today is "The current position is not available because the vessel is not in one of our covered regions at the moment." Doesn't seem like they cover the USA coast. Did you find some other way to track it?

Not 100% sure but I think it says that now because the WH is actually at the Port of Baltimore. I was able to see it just south of Annapolis most of the day but then got the same not available message later in the day.

Completely understandable ... I've already ordered new wheels/tires for auto-crossing and they're sitting in my garage waiting for a car to go on. Plus, my productivity is WAAAAY down, and I believe my wife thinks I'm having an affair b/c I check the computer last thing before bed and first thing when I wake up!!!

The ship should arrive on the 26th and looks like it will off load and reload the same day. So hopefully all of us will get through the VDC rapidly and trucked out this weekend
