Which dealer did you buy your car from? I won't get mine until the 14th I think because it is a JCW. Bought from MoD. Wonder if mine gets delayed from the port or they ship it and it sits at the dealer (probably the former)?

I bought mine from Moritz. I called both, and no one from MoD ever called me back. I bought my '04 from MoD, but my MA isn't there anymore. That, and our families have bought 4 cars from Moritz dealerships in the past 6 months, so we get pretty good deals.
As for your JCW, I'm not sure about how they're handling the JCWs. Maybe Jackson knows.
Mini is here, dealer options will be installed tommorrow and ill pick up James at 5:30. I am not going to get one minute of sleep.
If Memphis has yours, then surely Nashville should have mine. My MA has not returned my call yet. I guess I will just have to ring him again. I'm sure that the Sales Manager will be glad to talk to me!
My MINI MCS is in. It arrived today according to my MA. They have to install the JCW strut brace and the rear bumper tailgate protector thing. I can pick it up Thursday morning. I am very, very, very, very calm, and will keep telling myself that, especially because I am in Idaho and don’t get back to Chicago (Knauz MINI in Lake Bluff, IL) until Wednesday afternoon so there is little I can do. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
Hex, What gets you out to Moscow? My ex's Grandmother lives on Gifford Rubens road between Lenore & Lewiston. Spent a couple of weeks out there a couple of years ago. Beautiful country. Lewiston was a beautiful city.

I live half of the time in Idaho where I own a small manufacturing business and half of the time in Northbrook, IL (Chicago) where I live with my highschool sweetheart that I just married 2 years ago after being not married to her for 35 years. I grew up in Chicago but went to graduate school at Washington State University, moved into Idaho and couldn't leave the Palouse. I travel back to the Midwest a lot on business so I need a car there, hence the MINI. It's a long complicated, very romantic, wonderful story for which I'll have to start a separate NAM forum thread. That's the short version.
Cool. Hope everything works out for you. My ex and I are still married, just on different paths in life right now. Her kids are out in SLC and she is currently in Wendover, UT. She is from out there originally and really probably belongs out there. I am too old and set in my ways right now to make a career move. Maybe in a few years things will work out for us and we can get back together out there.
The Mini comes in because she REALLY wanted one ever since we test drove a First Gen MCS back in 2003. I really liked the car also. I had a friend in College who had a Morris Minor that I really liked and should have bought. When I saw the Clubman, I just had to have it! I test drove and put down a deposit in the same day!
I also have a 1966 MG Midget but I dont drive it much at all. It stays covered in my garage with only 32000 original miles.
This is the best of both worlds!
I have kin that live in Mokena, IL so we might just meet someday.
Motor on and enjoy life. It could always be worse.
Today is the day! Ive got a cashiers check in my hand and Im ready for 5:30. Ive got two appointments and one divorce and then....then..sweet motoring. Ive told my son that the car isnt ready for another week, so ill suprise him when I get home. Ive got the camera in the car and ill post pics as soon as I can. Damn it feels good to be a gangsta.
Oliver's here! He got in this morning. They have to clean him up and tint the windows so we'll pick him up tomorrow on the way home from work. Thumbs up for motoring on a 3 day weekend.
wjones, gratz on being strapped for the weekend! Still haven't heard from my MA yet. Left several messages yesterday for anybody to call me back but no one did. Something might be wrong. Hopefully I can make the trek up to Nashville on Tuesday and get hooked up. A Memphis run will definately be in order also. I need a Q fix!
Haha ... good thinking WJones. That happened to be a coincidence, Oliver and green. He's actually named after Richard Hammond's Opel Kadett in the Top Gear "African Safari" episode.
