Just wondering, is your dealer throwing in any freebies with your car order? At least mats or something? This is the second car I have ordered from the same guy and he didn't offer anything at all. Guess I shouldn't really expect anything....?

 

My windows and sunroof came tinted and I wasn't charged extra for the tinting or installation or the chrome exhaust tip on my car. They didn't specifically say that they were throwing those in, but they aren't itemized on my bill of sale. Mine was a demo model, so it already had the all-season floor mats in it and the dealership I went to prefers to use 3M rock shield on their cars for their clear bra, so that was already installed on the car. Those things, I was charged for.

I've heard of other people getting things like floor mats or side scuttles tossed in with an order. I don't think it can hurt to ask them to throw in some floor mats, free of charge.

 

We got MINI S rubber mats and a key chain for each fob. A yellow Cooper S key chain and the Mini Logo key chain they are 24.95 and 17.95. So I think we did well when you compare it to getting nothing at all! Ask your sales guy for at least a key chain!!

 

when did you ask for floor mats? when ordering, or picking up?

 

I got a key chain and floor mats for free. But the floor mats, IMO, I think got thrown in after they got a hiccup in their first walkthrough with the MINI on the day I went to pick up the car - the iPhone adapter wasn't working properly. I can tell they were a little embarrased.

 

i asked my MA if there was anything she could do on the final price, or anything that she could do period. and she told me that the only thing she could do would be to throw in the floor mats. there's another thread about things people received after they got their mini, from miniusa.

 

We were not able to negotiate on the price at all so our sales advisor said she could throw in the floor mats. We sat thru the usual spiel regarding the rain protection etc and included in that were the mats, we declined and reminded our sales advisor that she had promised us mats. She had always intended to give them to us - we sat thru the sales pitch for nothing! Then my husband said do you have posters, anything else we can have and she gave us the key chains.

 

my MA gave me my keychain already! ( I take delivery the first week of July) He could tell how excited I was and figured that would hold me over... YEA RIGHT.... But on the phone the other day, he told me he's going to throw in some accessories for me. Thing is, he didn't tell me what accessories. ha ha I figure I'll get floor mats and maybe one of the accessories I bought free. I wan tone of those lanyards that they wear! I'm going to see if he'll give me one! I'm a big dork.

 

I got floor mats, a key chain, a MINI peak cap and a BMW T-shirt because they were out of MINI T-shirts. The funny thing is I didnt ask for anything.

Just ordered my Clubman S today. Couldn't do a danged thing on the price, but my salesguy did agree to remove the dealership fee ($95) and wrote on the invoice that I get free mats. He gave me the choice of rubber or carpet mats too. Still paid the MSRP. I said "Throw me a bone". I got mats!

 

My dealer threw in checkerboard sunroof and mirrors to move the floor model which had racing stripes on the bonnet. Worked for me.

I didn't get diddly squat except for the little detail kit, which I already have 2
other unopened ones.
But I got my Clubman as spec'd and turned out more than expected since I'd
never seen one in the real or any interiors.
I'm a happy camper.

 

From Lauderdale MINI, I got rubber floor mats, a cargo net, a couple t-shirts, a chrome license plate frame, and a blue stuffed MINI. I did buy two MINIs on the same day however! : )
