Any Freebies When Ordering a New MINI?

What freebies have others got from their MA/Dealer when ordering their Mini? My MA seemed doubtful I would even get free mats since the Mini I plan to order is not loaded with options. I really like the Mini and I understand I will have to pay full MSRP, but I hate knowing that others have been able to get free accessories such as mats, tinting, etc. I would like to compile a list of items others have received for free, so I may have a chance on negotiating fairly with my MA. I don’t want to be unreasonable with my MA, but I do expect to be treated fairly. I have decided to add a few more options than I originally planned when I first talked to my MA, so hopefully that will help.

I would like to get at least 2 of 3 accessories free that I plan to get for my Mini, which are: Factory Roof Rack, Carpet Mats, and Tinted Windows.

Today my current build is (subject to change daily):

’08 MC - Pure Silver/B
Premium Package
MFSW
Xenon Light
Sport Seats
Fog Lamps

I am also considering Chromeline Interior, Piano Black Trim, and even a MCS, which then leads to LSD. All of the options are enough to drive me crazy.

I am trying to hold off on ordering a Mini until the first of the year. I would like to find a great deal on a “like new” ’07 before then, but I doubt that will happen based on I what I have seen over the past several weeks. My local dealer is Flows in North Carolina and overall I have been pleased with them. After test driving a MC and MCS it is driving me crazy to wait, but I keep telling myself it will be okay as long as I have a Mini by springtime. I’m not sure I can hold off ordering much longer, but I am trying.

I got floormats, however the sales crew at my dealer could care less wether they sold the car or not.

Expect nothing, be pleasantly surprised IF you get anything. I got nothing, but didn't get upset over it

if you get an 08 that early on in the year i would highly doubt all of those goodies you mentioned... at most i would think you could get the floormats, but even that is iffy due to the time of your order and it being the start of the 08 year.

I asked for free mats and mud flaps. They gave me the mats, but not the flaps. Not easy to push for deals with Mini in my experience.

A couple of oil fliters (I wasn't waiting a year or 15,000 miles for first oil change).

Upon delivery we knew our MA was giving us free floor mats. As an added bonus he also threw in the locking lug nuts we were planning on purchasing.

MATS, MATS, MATS

MATS, MATS, MATS, Good luck that's all I got! But since I bought one in stock at the dealership and walked out on them twice while at the negotiating table I was able to get it 1,000.00 under sticker . Lucky Me from what I have heard !

The floor mats are a pretty typical gimme. They gave me the ugly rubber mats but they are very good protection from winter muck. I begged Santy Clause for a better looking set of mats for summer use. I've been kinda good...

I bought mine off the floor, and he came with very nice rubber mats - look very durable - and a free tank of gas That tank got me all the way to my house (3+ hrs) then another 1.5 hrs to another town and back again to my house. So all in all, pretty good bargain for only $23k But seriously, I would echo the thoughts of most others here - expect little, so you aren't disappointed but pleasantly surprised if they give you something.

Hmm, ugly? Maybe I have bad taste. I like the rubber mats, but I'm a sucker for easy-cleaning things that will last 100,000 yrs.

I got free rubber floor mats. They gave me the collapsible boot storage price ($80) for the covered hard boot storage box ($220). Mistake on ordering on their part. Ordered the invisishield for bumper and hood. But then they went ahead and did the rear bumper, gas cap area and door edges for free. Oh, and free cap and keychain as well.

We picked which mats we wanted. I wanted the thick rubber mats. They are easy to keep looking brand new and no worries when you enter the car with nasty wet grassy dirty shoes.

OH, bad me. I forgot about the filled gas tank. Seeing that gas was right highly priced about the time of delivery also, that was a nice surprise.

My wife got a free t-shirt when we ordered. I'm going to ask them to throw in the mats when I pick it up.

I was at my MA's desk ordering my car, and when the words "carpet floor mats" came out of my mouth, he said, "I'll throw them in free!" Really surprised me, since it obviously came out of his pocket, and he didn't have to do it.

Upon delivery we got a key chain and a free tank of gas. I've read horror stories on NAM of new owners nearly running out of gas, so I guess that's not a standard part of the deal.

P.S. Mine was an ordered car, first of the season.

Ain't nothing in life FREE - most everyone says 'mats' so, now they are not free, just included... Want to test 'free' Go back to your dealer 6 months 'After' you bought your Mini and ask for something - if you get it - That's Free. anything at the 'deal making' is just part of business... When I bought my Mini I ask for a tank of gas and mats - agreed... at the close and while in the Finance office signing the papers - I reminded them about the gas/mats and was told - Oh, everyone one gets that - not to worry... lol - free my *** - its included.... lol...

would be kinda like going to out to dinner and telling the waiter - I will only buy dinner here IF you include the knife and fork - lol.... I drive a hard bargin...

Personally, anybody paying MSRP is a fool. Unless your annoying the dealer and taking up hours of his/her time, you should be getting $500 to $700 off MSRP with floormats without question.

I got a tank of gas and a keychain. Also a $25 gift cert for the dealer. I had to come back to get the carpet mats I paid for, and the rubber ones she threw in 'for my trouble.' I still don't have the right wheels that I ordered (in June!).

Whatever. These aren't Toyotas. If the handful of MINI dealers in a given area all charge MSRP and still have people lining up to buy their cars, they have absolutely no incentive to negotiate with you. Your only options are to pay MSRP, drive hundreds of miles to some other MINI dealership where they might possibly be willing to throw in free floormats, or buy a Toyota. Paying MSRP for a MINI doesn't make you foolish -- paying less than MSRP for a MINI makes you extremely lucky.

Anyway, back to the original question -- we got a free ("included") tank of gas. No floormats. (And yes, we paid MSRP.)

Oh yes, I got the tank of gas too. It was ugly gas now that I think about it. Really smelly.

I meant "ugly floormats" in the nicest sense. The wing logo isn't very visible and the mats are full of nubs. I don't like nubs...and they don't like me much either.
