scooter in my mini???

hello all!
let me first say how great it was to have found his forum!
here's my question.....
has anyone out here have a mini and the ability to store a scooter in the back? back seat down, of course. i'm talking about the type of scooter that breaks down into 5 or so pieces.....bought from the scooter store. i've seen videos of someone breaking it down and fitting the pieces in the trunk of a car, so....think it can be done??
thanks,
dixiemax

I don't see why not. If you have not passengers and can move the front seat forward it should fit. We've been able to fit 2 sets of Golf Clubs in Bags in Molly, thought my husband rides Shot Gun he is a bit cramped with the Front Seat all the way forward, but it is a short drive to the range. Take pics. once you get your Scotter and let us know how it goes.

Is this gas powered?? If so, the only concern would be making sure the gas tank isn't stored on it's side or inverted which might leak. If this is an electric scooter, then I don't see any issue. We've transported all kinds of things much larger than a collapsed scooter inside of our MINIs.

True enough. You should have seen Richard's car yesterday at Mini Mania!

Hey Richard, thanks again for the portable pressure washer!

thanks everyone!

thanks to all who responded. i've not yet purchased a scooter, but if and when i do, it'll be electric (battery). i've an english cocker pup i'm wanting to do agility with and because of a slight disability, i won't be able to 'run' the coarse and have seen there are many folks doing agility with their dogs while in wheelchairs as well as scooters. so....
i ordered my green mini 2 weeks ago....it's been built and awaiting transport
to new jersey and then onward here to new england. can't wait!

:-)

gotta tell you guys....
haven't been this excited about getting a car since i was in my early 20s
and bought my very first 'new' car....a '70 vw bug.....it was dark green too!
thought i was 'hot stuff' because i blew the budget and had the dealer install
an am/fm radio!
the comradery amongst mini owners much reminds me of the loyal vw bug owners from the past! so glad i found this forum. now all i need is my mini!!
best,
charlene

BRGs are the best, in my humble opinion! You'll absolutely LOVE your MINI!
