Hey all! I just ordered my MCS on 5/13 and I am already dying... how am I ever going to survive the next 10 weeks?!?! New to NAM too...

need MINI now.....now....

 

Congratulations on your order and welcome to the insanity that is waiting for delivery! Other MINI's on the road seem to know and come out of the woodwork just to tease you. Don't worry though, being able to track your baby will help ease the pain, and most people can relate because most of them have gone through the exact same process. How did you spec your car?

 

Oh they are teasing me! they are all over the place!

basically made the cockpit black, black cloth, piano black, anthracite headliner
got the Alarm system too

We plan to add lots of accessories, though not through the dealer, as they were rude and rubbed us the wrong way... luckily my hubby has been working on/building cars since he was 13.... We'll be doing everything from the Chrome bonnet scoop to the side scuttles to mirror caps to shorty antennas ourselves ( it goes on..) not to mention is significantly cheaper too!

I am even considering having the UJ roof graphic done from local place that does car graphics instead of going to the dealer...

 

Sorry to hear about the dealer being rude, but your MINI looks like a winner.

Congrats on your order. I too and waiting... ordered 5/1 supposed to begin production 5/25. Also felt like the "MA" could have cared less whether I ordered my car or not... it's too bad I wanted this car... MCS chili red. They pissed my wife off so bad she bought a new rabbit... she was getting a clubman.

 

we even considered driving to the next closest dealer (6 hours!) but decided that we'd just get it locally since we wouldn't really have to deal with the MA for much other then delivery...and there was no added incentive to go out of our way to order.

That is quite unfortunate that your wife didn't get the clubman, I can understand the frustration though!

Just found out I am in production week 23!

 

This should really tickle you then... There are TWO MINI dealers in Dallas area! We called the other dealer and they never even returned our call! I guess when you pray to not have to deal with another car salesman it can come back to bite you. We were blown away by the attitudes of the people that sell these cars compared to the attitude of the people that buy them... shame. Congrats on getting a prod wk! ASK MINI told me to call back this week to confirm prod date, but I have been keeping myself busy reading threads on NAM to really get bothered by the wait....

 

wow... didn't even return the call!? That's beyond unprofessional. hopefully you will get your confirmed prod. date this week, you must have finally gotten your prod. number!

At least we won't have to deal with the MA's much in the future, lets hope the service guys are awesome, that's really all that matters after delivery.
