Hi! My name is Betsy and I am a proud owner of my very first MINI.
In October 2007, I purchased a used 2005 Mini Cooper S. I used to drive big vehicles (a one ton crew cab truck then a Nissan Xterra) and ever since I have sat in and driven a MINI, I've totally fallen in love. Now, I think I will probably be a lifetime MINI owner!
Anyway, just wanted to say hi to the MINI community. One of the most fantastic things I've learned about being a new MINI owner is that ALL MINI owners are just super nice and I love the comraderie that this community has! So, I look forward to being a part of the MINI family. Hope to make lots of new friends!

This is a great group here; I've been hanging out here during the endless wait for my MCS (ordered a month ago, won't have it for approx 4 weeks I'm guessing). Lots of great info and the people are friendly!

Welcome to NAM! Too bad you don't get to be part of the party cruise ship on the way over to the US. But as an added side gift, you get to drive your mini from day one! (not like those of us who have to wait and wait and ....)

Congrats on your new MINI. You'll continue to love it for a very long time. My wife & I are buying our 3rd (this one is for me).

My '05 MCS is a black automatic with a white roof and white bonnet stripe. I've already named it Racin' Roxy. It has 44,000 miles on it, it had 39,000 when I bought it last October. I was slightly apprehensive about buying one with the mileage being up there, but I shopped TONS and TONS of used MCS's before I found this one and everything else was right about it. It had everything I was looking for in an MCS I hoped for. There is already a growing list of things I would like to do it it, ranging from performance to appearance. I can't wait!

I also can't wait to start getting involved in MINI events, from the local to the statewide and nationwide. I sure wished I could have gone to Mini's on the Dragon, but hopefully I can make it to the Chicago Mini Takes the States event
