Week 18 support group
Well... Mr. Bellamy (you may call him just Bellamy) was born yesterday, and is safely tucked away on the Mignon.
The ship makes a stop at the port of Baltimore, so I am assuming that that's where he'll disembark. (Unless everyone gets off in New York to go through the Distribution Center . . . I don't know.)
Anyone's car traveling with mine?

I was just over at the Week 17 forum and a few of them (whose cars were completed last week) are on the Mignon, too. From the timing of it all, it looks like they drove my car right out of the plant and onto the ship. That's OK with me!
Well here's my experience:
I was booked for week 19 production, bumped up to week 17. My MINI finished 5/2, and was even transported and delivered over to the port of exit 5/2. I was optimistic I'd make the next days ship, but it didn't happen.
Just this day, 5/8, I've been loaded onto the TASCO. So it's possible to get right on a ship, like some from week 17 did, but there have been a few of us who hadn't received any booking information.
When I call earlier this week, I was told it was more common to get shipped one week to a week and a half after you've reached the port...

4. Transport: This is where the Wallenius Wihlmsen site (WW) comes in,
http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppTracking/cargoTrack.do , Go here and click on 'Auto Cargo'. Put your VIN in the 'Cargo ID' box. If nothing shows up wait a few hours and try again. Mine took 24 hours from when they said it had left the factory. Once it shows up, you will know the ship, booking and voyage numbers. The voyage details will tell you when and where this ship is going. The bill of lading number will let you see which VIN's are on the ship with you. you may have to scroll down many pages to find yours.
good luck!

So this morning the automated vehicle status at ASK-MINI said it was awaiting transportation - now I have just called and it says it's in the paint shop. What the hell? And I still don't believe the person who I spoke to earlier who said it would be another 5 weeks to get to the East Coast...
Hi all. First post here, but just wanted to check in with my support group. My MINI was completed on May 7 and is awaiting transport. The ww site still doesn't have me listed, so I am thinking that my mini may end up with a different transport company. I called the dealer and they said that they wouldn't know anything until the shipping company emailed them. I guess that I will just have to wait.
The last time I had a car come through that VDC (a 2000 BMW 323ci) it went AWOL for about a week. Turns out it was put on a truck to Georgia by accident.
we looked for a month to find a dealer that could get us a clubman s in the shortest time.. Hooked on yesterday.. They had a to order opening... so we ordered it yesterday the 9th and it will be built this next week and arrive at the dealer by june 15th.. The catch... yes catch.. we live in Washington State and it arrives at the dealer in Ny... so shipping it enclosed to Washington State.. trucking ppl said two or three weeks... so WOW A FAST TRIP..

It's not this one is?
Stu.. thanks for the question.. We looked for the correct combo of features and could not find one. We also asked the local dealer{150 miles away} how long would it take to get one ordered.. they said 16 weeks.. So my next idea was to contact as many dealers as I could to find one that could order one now and get it built in the following week then ship it.. We found them and it will be built this next week.. and be at the dealer as they told me yesterday JUNE 10 th to June 15th.. Catguy
