Any regrets after ordering your new MINI?
I didn't get them either, and I don't really mind the space filler on the bumper rather than the actual light. Then again, I have a JustaCooper, and I didn't get the front fogs, either (we don't really get much fog here), so my empty toggle spaces are symmetrical and don't bother me.
Thanks for the photos, BPulley! Really helps clarify the difference.
NO regrets, but then I only "ordered" my first one. The last three have been bought off the dealer floor, no fuss, no muss, no WAITING!
I always look for a base model coming without many of the so-called "must- haves" and I make a great deal for a nice car and I always end up on top at trade in or resale time. That said No MFSW is a deal breaker and I wait for the next one. Colors and interiors are whatever they have on the car, really. Not interested in cloth or leather, so that leaves the very durable vinyl.
Most folks I see spend way too much money on their small car and then think they will get all of it back out again.

The worst part about not getting rear fogs on delivery it is that it's not even a MINI authorized retrofit (for 2008 models at least), so once that order's placed you're pretty much SOL for an actual, working toggle switch in your console. Unless MINI decides to allow it later on (which is likely, but will still cost you $400-$500 - ouch).
The only good retrofit option at this point is the GoMiniGo/Minspeed Rear Fog brakelight mod, which doesn't address the missing toggle switch in the console, but does give you rear fogs that act as brakelights. Luckily for me I am waaaaay more OCD on the actual fogs than I am with the switch
. I couldn't care less about the missing switch, so this will be installed shortly and I will be whole again

No regrets. I got exactly what I wanted... except the color. Mini killed off the original colors I wanted the year before I bought Gromit. Their "Bavarian Racing Green" was a "I'll settle" color choice.
When it's time for a repaint, it will be real BRG.

My only regret so far is that I can't keep my R53 in the deal.
I'm semi-worried about the Hi-Fi (although not getting it seems like it makes after market stereo install harder), and maybe a little bit concerned about the armrest (I really want bluetooth and I actually like the armrest in my '06, but I haven't gotten to test drive an R56 w/ the armrest and there's a lot of negative feedback on it it would seem).
