Good morning all! Just thought I would drop in and introduce myself.

My wife and I have decided to order a 2008 MCS Convertible, Sidewalk, in White Silver. Now we're just waiting on a production slot to become available through our dealer so that we can start the real wait!

My daughter (4 years old) asks me every day when "the robots are going to make our car." (We seem to watch the robot production video on miniusa.com every day).

What kind of indication have they given you on that??? I hope they don't make you wait to find out how long you will have to wait for your wait!!!

 

Well, I'm going out of town for a couple of days and thought I'd call the dealer to see if there is any update on slots. Our MA is off today, but someone else looked it up and we have a production number! We're on for week 23 (beginning of June)!

I tried to get into the Owner's Lounge on miniusa.com, but it said my number wasn't recognized. Is there a delay before you can set up an accountwith a production number?

The online often has a delay of a couple of days. And it's also limited in the info you will be provided. Call MINI USA directly. The number is 866-ASK-MINI. Even better information is provided in a sticky note at the top of this (First Gear) forum. There they will tell you how to get your VIN from the production number (once you get an account setup) and how to track the cruise ship your MCC will be spending her (or his) summer vacation partying on.
