I spoke with my MA yesterday and he says that I should have mine 3-4 days after ir arrives. So it should arrive at Princeton Mini the end of next week or the beginning of the week after.

Can't wait!

 

Crapola! I know, like you say, that it's only a day's delay. At this point, a day feels like a century. Did you get any updates from your MA?

 

Nah not yet. She called me...I think it was wed, maybe tuesday, and said that it was due to arrive "on or about the 21st" and I should have it by next weekend, early the next week the latest. I'm assuming with just a day's delay and living on Long Island, I should still have it by next weekend. I hope so, I can't wait. I already ordered a new antenna to get ride of the R/C car look

MikeWZ - I'm debating ordering an antenna. I'll be getting Sirius, so I'm not sure if I can replace the factory one without messing that up. Sirius has fewer sats than XM, so around here in the wooded areas it will already drop out every now and then. I don't want to risk making that problem worse.

BTrimble - From what i heard Sirius is going to or has already bought XM. If so i won't be suprised if you evetually start getting more stations.

 

The Sirius/XM merger has been approved by the Dept of Justice, and each company's boards and stockholders. FCC approval is needed next. It is not a given that the FCC will approve. The possible packages that will be offered are interesting, especially some of the a la carte packages. Not sure how it'll impact those of us with factory-installed Sirius & lifetime subscriptions through MINI.

Meanwhile, our MINIs are seeing the sights in Halifax today!

I'm beside myself with anticipation! Just checked the WW website; it does not look like they have started offloading yet, as all of the cars still show the "loaded on vessel" status. I would imagine that the Tagus is in port by now! Better be!!

 

Yeah seriously. Just check WW too, and it still hasn't updated that our cars have been unloaded yet. But...it doesn't say that about any of them. I'd imagine that in Halifax it would have dropped some off (else why would they have stopped there) and it doesn't appear to say anything about that. I really cannot wait 'till this weekend!

 

Still no change on WW site.

 

The WW web site now shows that Tagus has left NY, so the cars must be there. The auto cargo page still doesn't show mine as unloaded. Still keeping my fingers crossed for Saturday.

Ack! This is killing me that the WW site isn't updated properly! Of course, of course our MINIs have been unloaded and are not sailing away to Texas, right? Might have to email my MA and see if I can find out more.

 

Yeah I haven't heard anything either..and the Owners Lounge is pretty useless as well. It took about 3 days after our cars were already sailing to update that it was, infact, in transit. I'm not sure it's going to say that it's at the VDC untill we already have our cars!

Got a call from my MA and will be picking my MCS up on Monday

 

Monday!! Alright! Congrats to you, but I'll be pea-green with envy come Monday. My MA emailed me saying my car will be released from the VDC this week, and then I'm at the mercy of the carrier. She is hopeful that I'll take delivery by May 1.

I tell ya, I'm ready for Doc and his Delorean, too. I've been pretty much worthless at anything and everything here recently.

 

I wish tomorrow was already monday. Can't we skip the weekend?

How many times can I post today?!? Oh well.
Just checked the owners lounge, and my status shows at VDC, with estimated delivery of April 26! Just for laughs, I called ASK MINI number, and it says that my car is in transit! My dealer's site actually lists my VIN and has assigned it a stock number, but while some details are correct, most things are not. I figure (hope!) those details are what was originally going to be on the car with my order number before my specs took over that order number!
Has anybody else seen anything like this?

Well, I was hoping to have mine by saturday, but if you're not getting yours until Monday in NJ....I'm going to assume that should be very much the same for me here on Long Island. I haven't heard from my MA yet either, only in response of asking/telling her to not put their lovely signature on the back of the car....I'd rather be dead.

On a side note, my OL also says En Route still. I was of the understanding that it usually takes only a day and a half to get the cars in and out of the VDC so long as nothing's wrong. I hope they didn't crush my poor car
