Anxious Parent to Be

So I placed the order for my '08 Clubman on March 31st, so I am stuck waiting for him to arrive. I am a MINI newbie, but I lived in England in the late 90's and drove an older Mini rust bucket.

Crowley (Named for the character from Good Omens and not for Aleister) is a Chili Red Clubman with a silver roof, silver bonnet stripes, fogs, and both the Premium and Convenience package. Once he arrives Stateside, he will have the Black Jack sunroof graphic applied. I can't wait to get behind the wheel.

And my first order of business is the Dragon. I won't make MOTD this year, but I drove my old Mustang GT (before gas was $3.20 a gallon) up fairly often when I lived in Charlotte. Crowley should make short work of it.

I'll keep you guys updated on progress as Crowley is "born".

My MA said it should be around 6-8 weeks. A friend just bought one and said it should be + or - 6-8 weeks because of delays....

Do you have a production # yet? If so, call 866-ASK-MINI and see if they can tell you your production week. I ordered my Clubman S on the 27th, and I'm lined up for PW17 (week of April 21st).

No production number yet. I want it to be earlier rather than later, but I'm planning for mid-June. At this point, my wife and I have decided the race is on: We're expecting our first child on June 21st, so will the MINI or the baby make it here first?

So the email for the Mini Owner's Lounge my MA sent was dumped in to my junk folder. I now have my production number and will be calling Mini in a few minutes.

Congrats! Do you know if its going to be a boy or girl? My wife and I just had our first on March 23rd! His arrival is actually what precipitated the order. We managed to get the Graco Snugride into the back of my R53 (without the base), but squeezing it in and out isn't pretty, and seeing as I'll be the one driving the little one to daycare...

I'm expecting to take delivery in late May/early June...I'd expect you're probably on a similar timeline, if not a little earlier, depending on which dealer you ordered from and how their allotments are lined up.

We're having a little boy and his name is Kiernan Lee. I took my Maxi Cosi Mico car seat to the dealership and tested it out before we placed our order. All I can say is thank god my wife is short.....

We're buying our MINI from Roadshow here in Memphis, TN, so I'm not sure how what their allotments look like. It was precipitated by two factors: our son and the completion of my MBA at Duke. I justified it to the wife as a celebration of sorts. Whatever works, right?

My Clubbie has been on order for a week and half (closer to two business weeks if you count business days only) and I still have a production week. Is that pretty normal? Just curious.

Right. I still don't have a production week. Just curious as to how long you guys waited for a prod week? I added the Sirius (banking on the XM merger bringing over my favs from XM to go along with Radio Margaritaville on Sirius) on Friday, and my MA mentioned something about my Clubbie entering status 150 soon. Any idea what the heck that means?

Found out today my Clubbie is in production. Says it should be completed by 4/21/2008. I'm getting more excited by the day.
