I just picked up this 06' up today. The dealer told me the color was called "Thunder Blue Metallic" but i don't think thats right. Can anyone tell me the real name?

I have an '06 and the color is listed under the hood. Cannot recall exactly where, think it's on the passenger side.

Oh sorry, I've kind of lost track of the available colors after 2005. There used only be Indi Blue (discontinued after 2004), Hyperblue replaced it in 2005 and Electric Blue.

Although Astro Black is a metallic black some people say it looks blue under the sunlight.

I thought Thunder Blue was only on the GP's?

 

Don't forget Space Blue! A very interesting shade of blue, imo.

 

And lightning Blue...

 

And "Cool Blue" (convertible-only)

I haven't actually counted, but it seems like almost half of the MINI colours offered over the years have been some shade of blue or silver. We have more choices than some other cars, but I really wish they'd have some more creative colours.
