I have been reading posts and threads to your forums for a month now. I have found everything helpful.

I need to name my mini and I hope with all of your collective help I can get a signature, member tags and everything else I have been jealous of.

I am new to Mini's and the European auto market. I have had sports cars, Mazda's, Corvettes, but mostly company cars, over the last 15 yrs.

I have to admit, your Mini's are fantastic, and you owners are fanatics.

After 2 months of research, searching for the right mini, and the best deal, it all went out the window, when I found MY MINI.

She.... I think.....(I hope),.... is a 2005 MCS "Black Eye Purple" ,curtains match the carpet. Sport, Premium, Cold weather, Convenience & Chrono Paks. Pano Roof, Anthracite(listed -I have no idea what this is), Xenons, H/K, GoodYear runflats on 17" stock alloys(don't know if I will keep them or not) Miltech exhaust, Alta short throw shifter, Momo Shift Ball(that's like ice in WI), Dinan Throttle body, JCW air box, JCW Supercharger, JCW ECU Chip and Eibach Springs.

Any help, suggestions, pictures for my signature(cartoon pics) would be greatly appreciated. I have worked in and around the car business for almost 20 yrs. If I can help any of my new friends out with anything, please do not hesitate to ask.

My car has anthracite, but not on the headliner. It's also a dash finish.

Is "anthracite" (I even "itch" when I type it) the effect on the dash, like it was painted and then scuffed up with a grinding wheel or 3m pad?
If it is, then I have it....My headliner is jet black.

No, what you are describing is Alloy Patina. The anthracite you have must be for your headliner. Very dark grey or jet black.
