Anyone know of a New Owner Checklist....?????

Does anyone know of a checklist or list of questions that I should run through with my MA when I go to pick up my new Mini on Saturday? I've seen a lot of posts from people who have had mixed experiences with their MAs and there's clearly differences in the amount of information that people get. I wondered if anyone had a list of good questions to ask, or things I should make sure I get. e.g. some people get a jack and some don't......
This will be my first Mini so I want to make sure I don't miss anything....

Thanks!

One thing, before you officially take delivery, do a very, very careful walk around, looking for any scratches or damage. Run your hand over the paint to see if you notice any changes in texture (damage repair). Get in, and operate everything. Including the seats, visors, glove box... the lot. Look for cosmoline stains on the paint (and watch for that in the coming days).

My wife found a broken side visor bolt when we got Gromit, and they fixed it immediately, before we drove off the lot.

Take a friend/spouse/sibling with you - you might miss something in your euphoria. Also a companion will keep your speed in check - it's easy to go past 70 in the little buggers. Five minutes into our ride from Portland, my buddy yelled and i was like whaaat? My MINI was at 75mph and i was just getting onto the freeway...

When I took delivery, I kept my list short and simple. There has to be a level of trust with your MA. If there is something mechanically wrong with your mini, it is covered under warranty. You will still want to inspect for defects and insure your options are listed on your sticker. I found mine to be accurate. Take some time with your MA to go over the features of your mini. Mine spent over an hour covering the nav and other unique mini features. Most of all, have fun!!!

Mechanical issues are going to be easier to get fixed under warranty if you find them later. Getting them to take responsibility for any dents and/or scratches you find once you've left the lot could be a bit more difficult.

Maybe a moderator could "sticky" the most useful thread on this topic for us?
