Run-flat tire replacement?

As a Southern California commuter who has to endure hours of lumpy freeway driving as well as lots of poorly maintained side roads, I've about had it with my original equipment Goodyear 195x55Ax16 run-flats on my '07 MCS.

After only 1200 miles of use, I am ready to switch to non-run-flats and a can of repair goop even though I will probably become an outcast among serious Mini jockeys.

I have read good reviews on Goodyear Eagle F1 All-Seasons, Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3s, Yokahama Parada Spec-2s or AVS ES100s. Are there any
other brands that are as good or better?

Won't someone take pity on me anyway and recommend a couple of non-RF tires that are quiet and easy riding without taking ALL the fun out of driving Mulholland Dr. or Angeles Crest Hwy. on weekends?

Actually the vast majority of us end up ditching the runflats, so you'll be in good company.

I've been running the Yoko ES-100's for 5 years now and they are an excellent all-around performance tire, especially for the $$$$.

Welcome to NAM!

We have a specific tire and wheel forum where you will find more opinions and information about tires than you'd ever want to know. . .
