Is This A MINI Scandal In The Making?
The "gossip" coming from my neighbors is at an all-time high... people are now constantly whispering when they walk by my house... all kinds of rumors are spreading like wildfire...
I recently brought my new baby "Junior" home from the hospital and, yeah, his skin is slightly different from his Papa's but that's no proof that the mail truck, I mean, mail man was involved like some people are trying to say!
See for yourself... Here's a photo of the proud parents with their new bundle of joy...

I recently brought this little 2007 Pepper White MCS home (this is the first chance I've had to post photos) and I am nothing short of THRILLED with this car.
Up until a few weeks ago, I had never even been in a MINI. I just happened to stop by my local dealership to take a look at them and I was instantly hooked.
I'm a huge car fanatic. I've owned tons of different cars before, especially sports cars. I've had Porsches, Ferraris, Lamborghinis, etc. And let me tell you... this MINI is more fun to drive than ANY of them. And I'm not kidding. I love my Lamborghini Murcielago (shown in the above photo) but I already prefer to drive the MINI instead. It's just sooooo much fun to drive.
Now I realize for the first time why MINI owners are so emotional about their cars. I find myself making multiple trips to the garage throughout the day just to sit in the MINI. I've honestly never been as excited about a car as I am about my MCS. It truly is already becoming like my child. I love that little bugger.
And here's how I really know that I love this car...
I've never been very mechanical or have even wanted to work on cars before. I've had other cars that I modified and personalized, but I never did ANY of the work myself -- I just paid someone to do it for me.
BUT... this is already changing with the MINI. Today I swapped out the stock steering wheel and upgraded it to the JCW steering wheel. It actually took a bit of work since I have the multi-function steering wheel, but I was patient and got the job done. And, boy, was that a great feeling! I'm inspired to do some more work on the car. Of course, I won't be changing the exhaust system and doing extensive stuff like that, but I'll be looking to handle some smaller mods.
Anyway, just wanted to say "Hello!" along with the first pics of my MCS. I feel very blessed to be a part of the MINI-Nation.

you should be proud...it is amazing to me that you prefer the mini over the Italian Bull.... I would imagine that the Bull is pretty difficult to open up in the real world.
Wonderfull choice, love the peper white!

John, very nice. Love the three of them and your sig. It all looks good.
Let us know what you think of the MINI after you get your mods installed. I bet you drive the MINI even more.
Best and have a lot of fun.

I concur--a blast....
and, this is a great and informative website....just got a beautifully maintained 05 S convertible...some minor things that the manual did NOT cover...such as, especially, founding the windscreen (simple once you get the picture---which literrally was provided on this website), and where the small tool kit is with the run flat tires....(battery compartment, NOT left rear side as indicated in the manual).
By the way, does anyone know: with the chrono package, I assume the the "normal" range for the temp. guage is straight up (which is really over the 1/2 point in terms of the numbers on the gauge).
Thanks!

Lucky for you that recessive gene showed up in the offspring! Most definitely good breeding stock...I'm not surprised that these regal parents begat such a beautiful baby!
...and don't worry about the whispers. In this day and age these sorts of things are well accepted among the well educated and informed. He will grow to be proud of his noble, multicultural lineage!
That's three awesome vehicles!

I smile each time that commercial runs.
Thanks for the kind words, everyone!
And hehe, no, I'm not getting rid of the Lambo. I usually drive it one day a week or once every two weeks. It's actually very hard to see out of so you're constantly worrying about people in your blind spots... and tons of people like to "pace you" and check out the car and take photos with their phone, etc. and they usually end up doing it from the blind spots. This thing literally has what seems like a 3" x 3" hole for a back window -- so you have to rely on the mirrors. It IS a great car on the highway when it has some room to move. It has scary acceleration that never lets up through all the gears. Mine has about 630HP or so (upgraded the exhaust system)... V12 6.2L, all motor no turbo or supercharger.
I love my X5, it has that "floating" feeling down the road, just like the MINI and other newer BMWs. But I prefer to drive the MINI.
There really is something to be said for a NO ANXIETY driving experience. That's what I get from the MINI. It's small enough to be able to change lanes and avoid idiot drivers with ease, yet rides like a luxury sedan.
I have a feeling once I get my engine mods installed that my other cars are really in trouble.

Thats a really sweet stable you got there! It's awesome to hear a MINI can be more fun than a Lamborghini, but then again, they are a lot of fun to drive, and the community is just awesome!
