Thanks. I got conflicting information every single time I called 1-866-ASK-MINI, but as best I can tell, production was completed the morning of 30 Oct. According to the WW site, it was received at the terminal in Southampton the next afternoon -- super fast! But today is the first day the VIN showed up on the WW website, so don't panic if yours doesn't show up right away.

You should have plenty of time to make it -- looks like FREEDOM isn't even arriving in Southampton until tomorrow if I'm reading this correctly...

My car made the boat as well!!!! It was completed the 30th and didn't show up until this morning. There is still hope if your car isn't listed... it seems like it can take a little while.

YES!!

I made the Freedom as well leaving/that left Nov. 2nd from Southampton. It didn't say that it left port on the website but gave me the Voyage number, name of Vessel, and Booking Number:GBSOU579360! I'm so excited! Mine completed on the 29th of October and will arrive in new york 4 days after my birthday!

Congrats to everyone aboard the Freedom!

Actually, I think it's running a little behind schedule... As of Friday afternoon (EDT), FREEDOM was anchored outside of Southampton. She's docked now, with an updated ETD of 11/03/07 18:00 (GMT).

I was going by the live ship tracking map and the ship movements lists at ais-live.co.uk. If the ship tracking map truly is live like they say it is, then FREEDOM is still at the dock in Southampton. Although it looks like her departure time has been moved back to 17:30 GMT, so yay for that.

Alright -- FREEDOM is underway! Leaving the port as we speak, and reporting a new ETA of 11 November 18:45. We'll see how reliable that estimate proves to be.

And there seems to still be lag at the WW site... all the VINs under booking number GBSOU579360 are still showing as "Received at terminal" -- I assume they'll show as loaded in a day or so.

Hey all!

My MINI is aboard the Freedom, and I can't tell you how stoked I am about it. My Mini was listed at the docks on October 27th, so I'd been obsessivley checking to see if it was shipped since then. Needless to say with some computer sleuth work, I found it! MUHAHAHAHA!

My husband thinks I have slight problem, since I've been checking the track of the boat so much. But, he enjoys checking also... he says it's because he's in the Navy, and finds the technical information interesting. Riiiight. But the good news is, he says for a ship that size... it's cruising at a quick rate!

Hi AliMac! One question -- is yours actually showing as "loaded on vessel?" Mine (and several others) are still showing only as "received at terminal" -- I thought at first it might just be lag in the WW site, but now I'm thinking its pretty safe to say my baby missed the boat, or it would be showing as loaded by now.

I suspect I'm going to find myself in the same situation as katesmini described in the "How to track your MINI" sticky:

This happened to me and several others in my production week. The ww site listed that we were booked but not loaded on 3 ships in a row. We came to find out that our minis were actually halfway across the ocean on a different carrier! We spent some disappointing time thinking our minis had missed yet another boat when in fact they were on their ways! Once it leaves the port your MA will be able to tell you a specific arrival date.
So I need to call my MA to get this all figured out for sure. Hopefully he'll be able to tell me the real deal... so far the one consistent thing about this process for me has been the inconsistent info I've gotten every step of the way!

Anyway, good luck to any and all who actually did make the FREEDOM! Maybe I'll find out that the info I'm getting is wrong (yet again) and that I'm with y'all after all!

So now W&W is saying that a whole stick of cars were loaded onto FREEDOM between 2 and 5 Nov, yet the ship has been underway for a few days now. I guess there was a lag in the records after all. Bully for us! I better go line up the financing now.

Obviously the WW site likes you better than me, m'dear. Although I'm curious as to exactly how they loaded our MINI on to the boat at 11:04 this morning, considering FREEDOM was well into the North Atlantic by then. But hey, I'm not complaining. Back to ship tracking!

Okay, my dealer is not confirming anything... Needless to say, I'm getting super frustrated with this whole process. If it's going to take 8 weeks for the car to be produced and shipped, then say so. Don't tell me 5 weeks. Don't promise what you can't deliver. If there was a glitch, please keep me updated.
Sorry, I'm just getting upset. The dealership I'm working with is the closest one around (which is 2.5 hours away), I'm doing most business by phone and email. I can't get a person on the phone, or email... and when he does call back... he only calls my husband.

I was so excited about this at the beginning of the process, Now I dobut I would reccomend this dealership to anyone.

AliMac, don't give up hope yet... the WW site was definitely experiencing some lag this weekend. We checked again today and my VIN is showing as "loaded on vessel" now (on FREEDOM), so yours might be too.

I definitely understand your frustration, though -- I'd almost rather have no information than wrong information!

Hey CFrog and All,

I too just had my car show as loaded on vessel this morning on the ship even though its been underway for 3 days now haha. I too hate wrong info and would hate to expect a speedy deliver and end up waiting more. Especially for a car! I'm sure we are all on the boat and the website is just really slow in providing the information, it has done it before with so many other people. Well heres 2 a safe trip, calm seas, and a HUGE tail wind lol. Laterrr

Hey all, Thanks for the kind words. My car also showed that it was loaded this morning. We're all in the same slightly irritating situation.. (I was going to say the same boat, but it seemed a little too obvious ).

I'm not sure if this has been posted yet, but here is the website that I'm using to track the Freedom

http://www.sailwx.info/shiptrack/shi...l?call=WDB5483

The water temp. is 15 degrees... YIKES!
