Ordered, Finally!

I'm no longer a forum n00b, but seeing as how I ordered my MINI today (woo hoo!! ), I had to make this announcement:

I ordered today!!!!

Even though it's in my sig, here's a rundown of what I have coming:

2007 MCS Lightning Blue with Black Roof and Bonnet Stripes

Packages: Premium, Sport (with Crown Spokes), Audio and Cold Weather

Interior: Lounge Leather (black) with Cream White color line and English Oak surfaces

Other Options: Anthracite headliner, Chrome line interior, rear fog lights, white turn signals, and most importantly, driving lights!

She'll be here in 6-8 weeks, so in the mean time, it's daily visits to the OL - tracking site!

Here's a photo of the Manager's car that is really similar to what I ordered!

About time! That will be one great MINI, I really love the LB/B combo.

Of course I love DS/W best of all.

I hope your next 4 to 6 go real fast!

Awesome, and congrats again! Cream and Oak is a VERY classy combo

You'll be like my black top'd doppleganger with those driving lights...

Oh, and never trust the OL. Bug the phone people at ASK-MINI... gotta make them earn their pay, right?

Indeed!

Yup. I opted for the Chrome ones instead of the Black, mainly because I'm not planning on doing any chrome black-out stuff!

Hmm... right you are. I'm going to be good and give 'em a couple days to make sure the order is well and full received. I have a long wait and don't really wanna go crazy. Unlike most people, I'm actually hoping it's at least six weeks so I have time to get as much for my DP as possible!

The more I see them, the more I wish I had opted for the web-spokes for my car, but such is life. Plus, it looks like the Crown spokes will clear the JCW big brakes next year (if I even think about getting them, haha)

Congrats. It will be a great looking MINI! Now all you need to do is find a good strong cocktail you can turn to over the next several weeks to keep you calm while you wait it out.

Yeah, I'm thinking about going the after market route. Maybe some Black ASA AR1s or something like that. Of course, that might be too much black so we'll just have to see! The crown spoke's might grow on me, but at least I won't have to look at the ugly counterweight(s) that I saw on a set of Bridge Spokes. Besides, maybe one of the new sets of wheels coming out next year will tickle my fancy! hehe

At least right now with so much time to wait, I'm really not dying to get it tomorrow. By ordering, it gives me time to finish gathering up down payment funds and sell my current car. Which could save me around $75 a month, enough to make the difference between hanging out with friends as I usually do or staying in more frequently! All that isn't to say I'm not excited. I drove one last night to check out the ambient light and Xenon lights and I was capital 'E', Excited! It was awesome!! :impatient

It may be rather camp, but I think the ambient lighting is just so cool.

I heart ambient lighting. I don't care what everyone says about it.

Same here! I was just telling a friend about my order (minus the color) and mentioned the ambient light story and was getting excited about that short <10 minute test drive! December is going to be just a lovely month!
