All Aboard Maersk Teal, Depart Southhampton 10/28/07 Arrive Port Hueneme 11/18/07

Looks like the next ship to the far west is the Maersk Teal:

Booking Number:GBSOU573031
Call Sign: S6HK

For all of you who missed the Isolde, this looks like the next opportunity. My VIN was only 3 off the highest number on the last ship and 866-ASK-MINI says my MCS is built so I'm hoping I make this ship!

Another interesting item is the Isolde sailed with 161 cars on board originally, but later dropped to 159 as 2 cars were listed as in the port but not loaded. Those same 2 cars are now showing as at the port for the Teal.

Might be a Mini for Turkey day, but not counting on it.......

Mine was one of the cars that missed isolde and booked on this ship- but from prior misses ( 3 other ships) mine will likely not get on the maersk teal either.
Found out my car has been in repair at the dock since 9/28-the reason for the delay.
Still have no further info on the extent of the repair but I will likey just re-order.
Keep an eye on your car if it delays more than one or two times insist your MA look into it.

I should have asked earlier...don't want anyone to have the same trouble I have had.

Good luck on your voyage!!!!

719,

Well at least now you get make any changes you had kicked yourself for. For instance on my order, the powerfold mirrors convinced me to check the cold package, but their not really in the package and I wanted the folding but won't get em

Good luck w/ the new order.

Honestly Cold weather package was the first thing I got. I do love those heated seats!!!
Will you really need them in CA???
I am a born and raised CO girl so I really wouldn't know the weather in CA.

Order went in yesterday and already have a production number so I am good to go.......

Happy sails to you and the rest of your passengers!

Yeah, that's the point, I really didn't need a seat heater, but the mini site told me the package included the mirrors and it was cheaper? Oh well. Good luck on your order.

I had the same issue. I ordered the power fold mirrors because thats all I wanted, but then on the website it said it was the same price for the cold weather package and the mirrors were included. On my print out I brought to the dealer it said power fold mirrors. When I logged onto the OL it didn't say them but it did say the CWP. I phoned my MA and she looked into it. She said that MINI didnt in form them of the change and she re ordered my MINI with power fold mirrors, and taking off $300 bucks

AstroBlack,

Yeah, don't really want to start the process over on the order. Sure seems like Mini has quite a few problems with their config system. I ordered the lounge leather which includes the color line, but the config system said it was extra cost.

Oh Well.....

RD,

Looks like we're the only ones here on the teal. Have you had any luck tracking? Looks to me like the Teal doesn't report their positions?

Checked with my MA this morning. He didn't know any more than we do...the Teal has left port and is scheduled to dock on the West Coast Nov. 18. If I come up with anything I'll post it.

Hi all.
Late comer here. I just got a my correct production number from my MA and found my car allready in transit on the maersk teal.

DS/B, sport pkg, hyper sport pkg, DSC, LSD, rear fog lights, white turn signals, piano black, cream white, anthracite headliner, hifi, comfort access, multi function steering wheel, leatherette

this thread tells my whole story of how my first attempt was totaled by the workers at the VDC.

Zach,

Welcome abord! Sorry you had to go through this twice, hopefully your luck will be better this time around. Only bad news is that the Teal doesn't seem to report its location, so no tracking as of yet.

My MCS was finished 10/20 but I missed the Isolde 2 days later by only 3 digits on my vin. So I would say if your VIN ends in a number higher than 85559 then you were built after 10/20?

the big day for out cars is TOMORROW
the teal is scheduled to unload them tomorrow. i will do my best to keep an eye on them tomorrow and I will try to let everyone know when they get unloaded!

Those of us here in the LA area could have our cars by thanksgiving! I know that is optimistic but... hey it could happen

Thanks for the update. Hopefully no problems on the unloading. Do you have any idea how long it takes to process them out of the VDC?

I believe it depends on if they will be doing any instalation work @ the VDC, and how busy/how many cars they have to process.
I believe it takes less than one week (few days) for it to be discharged from the VDC.
Then depending on how far it has to be trucked to your dealer. It should take only one day to truck it into the LA area.

Then depending on how busy your dealer is you will get a call saying that your mini is ready for pickup!

I have read some people on here call their MA's and have them put their car on the fast track at the VDC b/c there is someone waiting for that car... I don't know if I would feel comfortable doing that, cutting in line

My Mini is/was also on the Teal, I just checked and it was apparently unloaded around 3:15pm pacific time. Apparently the Teal has also set sail again so it looks like our cars are back on solid ground.
