Having a blast

Got my new Mini about a month ago. The kids are older now so I was determined not to get another suv or stationwagon. Really tired of that... I'm having a blast again.
Where can I find maps of the nice drives the clubs take in the NVa area?

Hi and welcome to NAM and the MINI world. I would start by checking out the local club there - here is the link... www.dcmetrominis.org. They are VERY active - and great group of MINI peeps. We used to live in Leesburg for many years - but we moved to So Cal about 4 years ago.

Good for you!!! My kids are older, too, and I wanted/needed a commuter car that could practically meet at least 90% of my needs, get good mpg, and be well-built. Of the options available, if you're going to spend the cash...why not get a car that handles brilliantly and it a total blast?!?! MINIs simply offer the most car for the money!!

Now, since it is small, I've had to get creative when dealing w/ the odd task of hauling stuff. I've done one move and started a major home project, and the MINI allowed me to accomplish most everything. Very impressive!! For the really big loads I had to rent a truck on each occasion, but that was for the very few things that were unusually bulky and would not fit in any car/SUV made!!

My point is that some folks (not all) feel they have to buy a big ol' car to carry whatever they can dream up, whenever that may happen if it ever does. There is another approach, though, but it requires thinking about the whole thing differently. Not everybody wants to do that.

Thanks Guys! I tried DCMETROMINIS, even connected up with a member. Sounds promising. Best way to have fun and find out more about Minis in the process.
