Called the WW and spoke to a live person who told me to call between 9 and 5 UK time. Will do that tomorrow along with using the cargo tracker. Keep your fingers crossed Production week 43.
I like being pushed to the front of the line...who do I give the $20 to?

When you speak with the rep from WW tomorrow (or would that be tonight?), be sure to tell them to treat the other BRG MINI with the utmost respect and find a nice little secluded spot for it...maybe with a window?

WW call

Wolfsheim,
I will definitely make that seat request for you if you can please tell me what "PDC" is on your MINI. It's been driving me crazy. I couldn't find it in the cheat sheet and I don't think I have it but might want it. Please.

That's Park Distance Control. It's the thing that puts out ultrasonic waves while in reverse in a radar-like fashion to determine how close things are to your bumper. It beeps as you back up, the beeps increasing in frequency as you get closer to objects behind you.

It's $350 on the Cooper and the Cooper S, in case you're interested. The Convertibles have it standard.

Kirby is on his way

Oh my gosh I'm so excited I can barely spell. Tried to call ASK MINI for my booking number as the very stern guy on the WW needed it. Couldn't get it. But alas I happened to track it on the cargo tracker and Kirby is on there. I don't have prove but I saw it with my own @ eyes. Wolsheim, Marg check yours, you both have to be on there.

WOO-HOO HALLELUJAH!!!!

I just wiped a tear from my eye. Where is Marg? Congratulations Wolfsheim. I've posted the route on my desk at work and loaded it into my Blackberry date book. What else can I do to make this go faster. I am beyond happy.

Now if only the ship's captain had a sat phone, we could call him to tell him to push it to the firewall!

edbear67, methinks it's time to start a new thread!

If there is a way to get that sat phone or talk to that Capt. I will try to figure it out. I'll be at the new thread just holler.

What a wonderful day. Come over to the new thread as we get loaded on the Fidelio and cruise to Canada.

Sorry guys - been busy motoring and getting used to my new Mini (which I picked up on Wednesday ).

It is my first manual transmission so getting used to it, some bumps, but overall, really great - just a blast to drive. I haven't had much time to get out, but I've been able to put almost 100 miles on the car in less than 2 days....

Life is good...

Hi everyone! (NAM is finally letting me post something). I am picking up my MINI tomorrow. Kensington was ordered on 10/8, and if it weren't for the long wait in customs, I might have had him last week (as he's been sitting at the dealership since then). Oh, the agony! Anyway, I'm just glad that I know the date of Day of MINI.

I don't think we're rubbing it in... It's just to let you know we have ours so it means you are that much closer to having yours .

I don't have mine yet.. 5 more hours until I can pick it up after work.

I'm thinking the wait during the days after your MA calls are the worst! First we're counting down weeks, then days, then hours.....oh the pain!

Yep, I ordered it from MINI of Sterling. I ordered the car on the 8th of October. It arrived in New York last Friday and at the dealer sometime on Wednesday. Today was the soonest I could pick it up given the prep, etc.

Not too long of a wait. A month and a week.

ok...I ordered from Sterling as well. 11/05 was when I ordered.
So I guess I can use you as a gauge. I ordered the same color as yours...but with a lot of JCW stuff.

Haha, yay a twin. They had one like mine in the show room the other day but with the JCW kits. You should just get that one then you don't have to wait ... but I think waiting makes it even more of a great car in the end.

yes...that one in the show room is nice. Something about a showroom, shiny floors and lighting can really make a car look spectacular. I needed NAV and that car did not have it.
