Cold Weather Package
Premium Package
Sport Package (17" Web-spokes)
Convenience Package

Anyone else?

Blair at East Bay Mini definitely took great care of me and very quickly found a production slot. Mini of Mountain View were gracious about returning my deposit (although I have seen the cheque yet).

Waiting will be painful, no matter how long (or short) and I guess we'll have to wait a few more weeks to figure how many $$ I saved over an 08.

I had a production week of 41 but looks like all the others in 41 are done and being shipped. I am still in the paint shop, as of 3 hours ago....per ASK MINI. Do you know where yours is at in production?

Production weeks run from Sunday to Saturday, so say your Mini actually did not start prodcution till the last part of the week, it could be completed in the following week.
From info on the web about the factory production, the paint shop is not on a 24/7 schedule like the rest of the production line. So paint time can take more than one day.
Hang in there your Mini is close to being finished.

According to the automated status at ASK-MINI just now, my MCS is "In production, scheduled to be completed on 10/15".

So I guess production week means the week in which it will be finished, or did I mange to sneak into Week 41?

Which production week number you use is your choice, you may want to use week 42 simply because members in week 41 could be on a ship before you.

42 (the Answer to Life, the Universe, and Everything) was the number provided by my MA, but as you say what really matters is when it gets onto a ship.

Woohoo!

I ordered mine this Monday (10/8), and was also given a Week 42 production number from the dealer. I just called 866-ASK-MINI and found out from the automated system that it was in production and scheduled for completion on 10/15! I'm definitely impressed with a 7 day order-to-production turnaround

I'm getting a PW/PW MCS with:
  • LSD
  • DSC
  • Hypersport package - selling the springs, installing coilovers, and color matching the top wheel arch piece.
  • 16" bridge spoke wheels
  • Rooster red leather/cloth seats and color line
  • Anthricite headliner
  • Piano black interior
  • MFSW
  • Auto A/C
  • White signals
No name or theme yet. Planned mods are:
  • Carputer - I have it ready, just need to figure out where to mount the touchscreen.
  • Window tint to legal limit (32% in GA, I believe).
  • Full dechroming.
  • Custom rear seat delete with support for harness.
  • Track and street wheels - still deciding, but leaning toward black slipstreams with red lips.
  • A TON of track days once I reach break-in to help me catch up to the capabilities of the new car
  • A bunch of performance and suspension stuff from Way to be disclosed later
My wife is selling her R50 and taking my R53, so it's a happy day all around

You are fortunate to get that quick of a turn around. I ordered mine on 9/22 and have a completion date of tomorrow.....FINALLY

Snap! I also ordered my car on Monday having decided not to wait for an 08 from my closest dealer. Like you, I think that one week from order to build complete is very impressive.

well....

It is a long story for another time and place... Mini NA and the dealership were very helpful in getting some closure for a what has been a problematic experience. Regardless, the car is a blast to drive - clearly the most enjoyable car I have ever had.
