R56 Week 39 Production Support Group
My VIN shows in the OL, now and Ask Mini has my estimated completion for the 27th!
Has anybody looked into transport ships yet?

Looks like the next WW ship to to leave and make a stop in Port Hueneme is the Asian Emperor, arriving a week later.
OMG i need to get an update...stupid Candian MINI.........i can not use a website i have to call my MA.
It was sent down to produciton the 13th of september....who knows where it is now...i will calll today and update. i hope i am on that boat, that would mean like 2 weeks to Toronto? The port for Canada is Halifax and is first before NY.

Bhatch -- it looks like there are different vessels going to Halifax -- first one leaves on the 24th, named Manon, 2nd is leaving on the 2nd of Oct, named Undine. Looks like the US west coast route takes different ships.

I too am waiting for mine - end of October..
I went to the dealership on the weekend, I have $1000 bucks of free accessories (for taking the MINI Challenge) so I went to price a few things..Keep the info posted on those two boats.. the Udine and whatever eles is coming to Halifax.
Here's to waiting....
It was a closed course at an old airport in the city (Toronto) with slaloms (wide and tight ones), hard left handers, ABS testing, gunning it andd jamming the brakes.. (that part was lots of fun).. They had a GTI and a A3 as comparison and the MINI won the show..
At the end, they gave us the coupon (good for 90 days).. so it was just another reason to order my MCS.
But I still wait..
Also, while digging around through some of the other Support Group threads for ship tracking related info, I read that Mini will start booking space for shipment near the end of production, so we should start seeing results for the VINs at WW's tracking page pretty soon. (Assuming we're actually going on a WW ship...)

Usually your booking number will not be available until 24-48 hours prior to that ships arrival at Southampton, once it is it will show all vehicles booked for that voyage.

Most the the Minis are booked on WW ships weeks/months in advance, once you have a booking number you will be able to see the booking date for your Mini in the info provided.

Ahh- gotcha, so it probably just works out that many people get booking numbers around then because the ship is arriving just a little bit after production finishes?
@mikeyjaro: Sorry there's no Canadian equivalent- you can at least call your MA, right? Do they get the same shipping reports that the US MA's get? With the VIN and/or the ship's name you might be able to catch up after production?
I figure that I'm spending a fair chunk of change- I should at least be able to call and ask about stuff when I'm curious, right? Doesn't mean I can't hear them roll their eyes though...
I work near Seattle and have to describe it as '30 minutes north of Everett' all the time... I've been keeping an eye out for the past few months, and I might even be the first local Mini in my sleepy little town?
Actually, there doesn't seem to be many in Puget Sound. Maybe it's the same everywhere in the US, but I only ever see one maybe two Minis a day during my 90 minute one-way drive. (Excluding a silver one parked around Stewart and 6th downtown)
Thanks for the info on Port Hueneme, I didn't even think to check the port's schedule...
Well, hello! That implies that you know where Stanwood actually is!

Was chating with a NAM memeber located in Mukilteo and he sent me the link for a Mini club, you may want to check them out.

Puget Sound Mini
I have a question for you.. how long is the ride to Halifax and/or NY??
Maybe then I can calculate the time to my dealer just outside Toronto..
Thx in advance!
