I GOT MY BOX I GOT MY BOX !!!! FINALLY!! 
Well Oceanside was Awesome and it was great to meet SCQQP and her mama!
I only wish it was daylight so the pics would've turned out better. No need to tell you all about it as Scoopmama has already filled you in. It was great to see people walk by and stare at the Mini's. One elderly couple looked at Scoop quizically wondering what it was!
Scoopmama - definitely go with the Union Jack (and I can say that cuz I've seen her, neener neener neener!!)
Let me know when the OR reunion is. My mom lives in Gates, OR (33.4 miles east of Salem) so I have a place to stay and go up there a few times a year anyway. I would love to meet more of the Fam. I had a wonderful time meeting Scoopmama and her son is just adorable. You can tell he's a teacher's kid... very polite and always raises his hand before speaking Was very impressed with him Scoopmama...you and hubby done good. (Good thing you don't teach English, huh?) I used to! Actually I was impressed with my little guy too! They can occasionally surprise you with what they've learned!
And the gum Scoopmama talked about is Stride. Has a big "S" right on the front. It's the only gum I allow in Zorro

Mini2na - sorry about the scratch - at least it can be fixed... when hubby took BlueBelle to the coast it came back with a scratch on the black door ring
I know - it was bound to happen with the Piano trim but...
You know the other solution is my kids all drive themselves now. Oldest one out of the house and 'baby' is a senior
(depends on the day...) Like you've heard a hundred times... enjoy them while you can!
I'm glad to be a part of this surviving thread - I think we're 'old folks' in the 1st Gear forum!
I see we even have a couple that have made it to 4th gear! You will tell us what is in the 6th gear lounge if you get there before the rest of us wont you ? 
Well my latest news is pretty much no news which is not good news
This AM I heard they thought they had the problem resolved but didn't have her running yet :impatient I didn't hear any more as to if it worked or not. I will call again 1st thing in the am. My best window of opportunity for a trip up is Thursday but time is running short. (Anyone around on Thursday?) I have to call the clearbra place and arrange all the stuff I want done there as soon as I know when I'm coming - not to mention reschedule meetings from that darn work that gets in the way .... Patience... patience... :impatient :impatient

I am working late on Thursday due to parent conferences. I could have about an hour in the I-205 - I-84 area if others are free.
Another Tagus reunion! Wow! Not only are we over 900 posts, but we are getting real live action as well!
Minicounter- I know that your reunion with Blue Bell will be emotional and wonderful! Better than when you picked her up, because now you know and love her!
Mini2Na and Kimberely- I think sushi is a must for you guys! Find a place with an empty table by a BIG glass window for MINI gazing
I ordered the MINI credit card, and when I get it, I'll get the stickers for the sun visors. Silly, but I think it's so cool to have a picture of SCQQP on a credit card!
SCQQP is parked for a week; our roads were just re-slurried, and I don't want that nasty tar and oil all over her pretty paint!

Well guys... sob.. sob... I just found out there is another problem... I'm afraid I wont be coming up Thursday (tomorrow) after all - don't know about Friday... maybe... It's starting to really get to me... I need to tell myself...just a car... just a car...
I have the MINI credit card too. Just paid for some gas in my loaner invisi-car with it this morning .... attendant said "cool card'
Sorry for all the but I think you all understand and it helps to know you are helping me through this cuz you know it's NOT just a car.. The service Advisor at the dealership is really trying to work with me. I know these things happen and I really feel she is trying to be an advocate.

In the spirit of mutual mourning for BlueBell, I suggest simultaneous consumption of Gingerbread Martinis! 'Tis the season!! The waiting would go a lot faster!! I think paying a visit to the service dept. on Saturday would be a good thing.

Martinis are the one part of my life where "I rely on the kindness of strangers" and friends and bartenders! I had a fabulous one at Buco di Beppos (sp?). YUM!!! I'll talk with one my good friends who concocts little miracles in glasses

Thanks again everyone for your support and words of condolences. So you think I should go from Whine to wine - or maybe have a little wine with my whine ... sorry forgive the 'humor' - as good as it's going to get today I'm afraid... At this point I don't know if I will be asking you all to raise your glasses with me in celebration or mourning. I should know more tomorrow. So far the dealership has been very good...
I'm trying to figure out how to work the alcohol into my latest diet #2543. I should be able to use up the unused calories from days I may be sick in the future - yah that will work!!
Oooo and that glass does look inviting...
I was suppose to be a 2 different social events tonight - but I'm not feeling very socal... Think I'll go home - get comfortable - and .... probably fall asleep. (weak )

SCQQP and Zorro look quite smashing together. I really like the neon reflection.
I love middle school kids. It was where I cut my administrative teeth. I found them quite funny and a lot like my 1st graders, only bigger.
If my kids were grown, I'd consider something wild like going to CA, but with the kids in high school.... they might actually kill their step-father if he tried to move them away.

I'm going to have a major booze bill at Trader Joes this weekend. I THINK I have dark rum (always good for holiday baking ) and ice is easy. But all that other stuff is not part of my repertoire of accumulated liquors over the years. I'll post a review after some thoughtful experiementation!!

Hey - some good news! My 'this nice weather is killing me without my MINI' is coming to an end! The bad news is - that's because it's suppose to rain ... think I'm losing it....:impatient
Nothing much new except the car rental guy called today to say they had sold the 'sporty' Grand Prix I was driving so they traded me for an 'economical' Malibo... and I'm afraid I no longer look for the button to push when I start the car... .
I hope to have some news tomorrow.... (gosh I think I said that yesterday)

At least someone wisely added the date to the title to ward off the likelihood of any such occurrence. We are getting closer to that six digit post count and we didn't even include pages of "smiley only' posts!
