Hello, new member in NJ here!
I never really know what to put in an inaugural post. I suppose it has been awhile since I have done one. Let me start with an introduction.
My name is Mike, and I live in Hudson County, New Jersey. I will be picking up my new 07 Mini Cooper 6spd at Morristown Mini next week. This is the first brand new car which I have purchased, and Im very excited, as I am indeed an automotive enthusiast. Im a college student and I work at an Auto Glass Retailer in Customer Service.
I am currently an active member of http://www.subaru-svx.net and a member of Long Island Subaru Club. I am looking forward to meeting some new friends here in the NAM Community. As I said, this is my first Mini, and first brand new car, but Ive owned quite a few cars in my short driving career. I will go ahead and post some photos in the next post. Enjoy, and Im glad to be here

Welcome to NAM!!!
Congrats on taking delivery of your car next week.
I'm in that waiting game right here with you.
I was really hoping for the surprise call sometime yesterday, or today. Well, I'm still spending my time here on NAM with no
arrival phone call to be accepted.
I've found that passing the time on this site is very educational at times
and can be extremely entertaining with a little fun thrown in most of the time.
Enjoy your future Mini motoring safely.

current, and past prides.

My current 1992 Subaru SVX before restoration began. Taken last year.

My 1994 Subaru SVX LSi (Sold)

My 1998 Mercedes ML320 (also recently sold)
Ive had a handful of other SVXs and dabbled in some vintage cars and other makes, but I dont want to write an encyclopedia on that. My focus is on my two current "children"
, one which I have yet to meet but that will change next week :-D.

Edit: BTW, Thank you for the warm welcome everyone!
Well, most of the details are in my signature, but....here goes
2007 Mini Cooper
6 speed Manual Trans
British Racing Green Metallic
Black Leatherette Interior
Premium Package (Dual Pane Sunroof, Multifunction Steering Wheel, Automatic AC)
Cold Weather Package (Heated Seats, Heated Exterior Mirrors, Heated Washer Nozzles)
16 Inch "Rotator" Wheels with the All-Season Tires (I figure Ill get JCW wheels with performance tires for the summer when next season comes around)
White Turn Signals
Thats about it as far as the options I chose. I wanted to be a bit frugal, being 21 and financing the car on my own. I chose it as a fun, solid, and economical daily driver as I live and work near/ in urban areas. Plus, my aunt whom lives in the other apartment in my building has already had two and I couldnt let her have all the fun :-P.

Welcome
Mike, Welcome to NAM.
I looked at your specs for your first MINI and first new car purchase. You appear to have a plan for a young man. Very good.
Enjoy the MINI and drive safe.
As for the sig. picture, capture or create your graphics, then use the sig-o-matic in the menu on the left, towards the top. It is pretty intuitive.
I save my signature elements to my harddrive then use MS photo editor to mash them together into my sig. graphic, then let sig-o-matic do it's magic. If you don't like the result try again.
Also, in profile you can do an edit signature.
Enjoy and welcome again.
