What's Up From Tulsa

Hey guys, just saying a quick hello from Tulsa, OK. I've had my eye on a MINI for a while now, but not having a dealership here made it a little easier to resist the temptation (that and a 1 year old). I finally broke down and bought an '06 MCS (PS/PS) a week ago.

Thanks to this forum, I've got severe information overload right now, but I've learned more about MINI's and modding MINI's in one week than I ever thought possible. Yesterday I placed my first order from outmotoring.com, and grabbed some red Plasti Dip for my tow hook. And so it begins...

Looks like there are a few other Tulsans lurking around here. I look forward to chatting with everyone.

Hello from the Windy City. We make it down to Tulsa about three times a year, two for WOW events (wrestling) and once for swimming. We get to OK City once as well for the USJOC. OK is almost like a second home we have so many good friends there.

Congrats on the new Mini from locals here in Tulsa, only had our 06 MC convertible since early April. Wev'e already been to the Ozarks three times to drive the twisties. Closest place to go for us here in Tulsa. Our favorite place to stay is Eureka Springs. We like to play our music real loud, and if I see another Mini I'll wave the rock-n roll sign.so keep your eyes open, we'll be looking for you.

Welcome to NAM and congrats on your new ride. Is your one year old a boy or girl? If it's a sweet little girl don't forget to whisper in her ear every nite when you tuck her in, elope!

Hey illojical, welcome to NAM. We lived in Tulsa for 8 years down in mid-town (21st & Cincinnati) and all three of our kids were born in Tulsa (gawd - three Okies in the house). Enjoy your new MINI, there are some great roads around that you will love driving.

Thanks for the welcome guys. I've lived in Tulsa for about 12 years, but I was born a brit, and grew up in Sydney oz so driving a MINI is a no brainer really. I can finally say boot and bonnett and not have people look at me like - huh? Now I just need to convert everyone to say windscreen instead of windshield .

Question for all the new MINI owners out there... when will my extreme door ding paranoia subside? So I come to work at 7:00 am just so I can park in the largest possible available spot that I can see from my office.... I'M NOT CRAZY DAMMIT.
