Booked on the Toronto
WW web site confirmed today that my DS/B MCSa has been booked on the Toronto. The ship is scheduled to sail from the port of Southampton in the UK tomorrow (08/14/2007) and arrive in the port of New York on 08/23/2007 after a one day stop in Halifax, NS. My Mini is to be off loaded in New York. Then the ship will make port in Baltimore on 8/25/2007, in Charleston, SC on 08/28/2007 and finally in Brunswick, GA on 08/29/2007.
Is anyone else booked on the Toronto?

Great News Europe! Post a review once you take delivery. It will be interesting to read your first impressions of your new Mini and remember to post pictures. We will all be living vicariously through you until our own Minis arrive.

When the Maersk Wind carried my car back in late March-early April, the only signal it provided was the day after it left Port Hueneme and was headed to Washington. Lot of good that did us.
Someone caught it with the camera at the Panama Canal, but that was it. Hopefully, you will have better luck, but don't be surprised if you can't track it.

Hey apples - I'm still (not so patiently) waiting! Currently sitting at the "awaiting transport" stage. I'm hoping to make the ship that leaves on the the 20th, although I'm not showing on it yet.....

I feel your pain. Hang in there. That Mini will soon be on its way.

I am still waiting for a damn vessel too. Mine has been completed and at the shipping center or whatever for 8 days now, and even 866-ask-mini states "waiting for shipping vessel".
Looks like it's going to be 6-8 weeks instead of 4-6 weeks for me, assuming my car didn't roll off into the water.

Mine was not booked on the ship until the day before the ship's departure. If you haven't already done so, you can check the shipping status of your car on WW's site using your VIN number? Here is the link.
http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppTracking/
From this page select "Auto Cargo". On the new page that loads, insert your VIN number and it will tell you if your car has been booked on a vessel.

Yeah, I've been trying that sometimes 2-3 x per day and swearing I am putting in the wrong VIN. Triple checked VIN.
August 20th is the next one eh? I think I have a link to all the ships schedule on my comp at home, will check when THAT may get here.
Curious: WRX and others in our situation (car finished last week still waiting transport): where are you? East coast? Southeast? Maybe it has to do with what port each ship is going to. It seems cruelly random, but maybe I can have some peace if I understand.

You need to take a deep breath and relax. Your car could be loaded on a K-Line ship and already headed your way and you're getting all upset over nothing.

K-Line is a shipping company. While Mini mostly uses WW, it also has a number of cars shipped through one of K-Line's vessels.

The upside is that it gets cars quicker to the U.S. than if they had to wait for the next WW ship. The downside is they don't have a tracking feature. Therefore, car owners whose vehicles are on a K-Line ship don't know it.
I still haven't heard which port serves Texas buyers. All Minis are sent either to Port Hueneme in California or a pair of distribution centers on the East Coast. Either way, your car will be trucked from the distribution center to Texas.
