MINI-Madness CAI

Hello,
I just installed a MINI-Madness CAI w/ cowl mod and have pics below.

I noticed the instructions were not very elaborate when it came to installing the intake filter and its components at the end of the instructions. If anyone notices in the pics an installation problem please let me know.

Also my 06-MCS is an automatic and because of this I have a cord that seats its self against the heat shield which gets pretty hot! What can I do to protect the cord from melting or damage?

Thanks

You need to see if you can re-route that cable as vibrations can cause it to chafe.

Intake questions

If you are refering to the black plastic vacume line in the photograph an old trick is to find a piece of rubber hose that has the same inner diameter the hose your trying to protect. Cut off an appropriate length and slice it down the middle then wrap it over the hose you want to protect. This should do the trick. If the hoise seems to slide easily ues 2 small zip ties on each end to keep it in place.

Hope this helps, also don't hesitate to call us if you need any assistance.
