Full Moon Midnight Ride at MitM 2006

"Full Moon Midnight Ride" .....to 11,990 ft? About 65 miles roundtrip, 45 minutes one-way.

August 7th,, 2006 is the nearest Full Moon (according to the Lunar Republic, based somewhere near Boulder...). In any case, if there is there interest in a "Full Moon Midnight Ride" up to, near and over Loveland Pass...we will do it. Night photos are not that hard to do, and if appropriate, we can also schedule a MINI light show to signal the Aliens...

Perfect.

We will have signup available in NAM in the next few days.

Bringing that nice teardrop? If so, I can get you and others camping details...tho remember, there is quite a bit of 'wildlife' out this way...

Thats why it has a mirror finish.

The wildlife catches a reflection of itself scares it away. Although that could backfire durring the right season.

Folks, we expect to have registration information

available and posted in the next few days. We will have our agenda posted tomorrow.

In the meantime, if you think you may be coming to join us (to get high in your MINI) feel free to post yourself in our Frapper map. We understand that things can change.

Thanks,

Jonathan

If I come (still working on it), I'd probably want to tent camp...anyplace nearby? The only requirement I have of a tent spot is nice bathrooms, with hot showers...picky, I know.

Yes, there is camping

Your best bet is to camp by the Lake Dillon Reservoir, in the area by Frisco.

Go to www.TownOfFrisco.com and RSVP a camp site. All facilities are there. There are about 344 sites if I remember correctly, you can have yours now.

Otherwise, camping in trailers, pull-behinds, pop-ups etc. is allowed on the Copper Mtn Resort property in designated areas.

Thank you for asking...happy to have you. Please be sure to FRAPPR yourself now, then look for the registration packet later this week in NAM.

For my wife, camping means a 2 star hotel. You setting up group rates on a hotel?
And do you have a link for the frappr map?

Yes, we have rates and room choices

All of the lodging options will be either Gold, Silver or Bronze. There are 1, 2, and 3 br units, plus studios. Gold has underground parking. Lodging fee includes health club and 10% discount on all F&B in the resort.

Our Frappr Link is in the MitM site here in NAM, click the Forum on "Do you Frappr" and the link is in Post #1.

Awesome ride, I have been over Loveland Pass at night and I can tell you it is both beautiful and eerie. I love it we'll be there!!!!!!

What exactly is that and where did you get it? Also where did you find a hitch for the "S"?

Thanks

Signalling the Aliens

I suppose this will happen on our Full Moon Midnight Rides. Don't forget to get to the Detailers Paradise / New Mexico MINIs car wash and shine those lenses.

I am quite sure the locals will get some amusement out of this.

What a great ride

it was every bit of the 40 def F on top there...burrrrrrr! My blood got thin this summer or somethin'.

I personally enjoyed the ride back up I-70 with a blue MCS w/ Stripes and that JCW convertable w/ LED flashers all over it

was it cancelled last minute?? I was up at copper earlier in the day to make sure the ride was still happening and everyone I talked to said yes.

got there at 11:15 and the registration tent said nothing of a cancellation and the dry-erase board was already set up for sunday
