JCW Brembo sport brake kit with R121 Conical spoke wheels ???

I searched and searched and searched with no luck

Has anyone successfully installed the brake upgrade with these wheels?

And if so which spacers were need to achieve enough clearance for the front caliper??

Thanks in advance!!

For anyone asking this question my brake kit came with the latest list of approved wheels and the R121 Conical's ARE on the list which all the information out there said differently. This just save me a good chunk of $$ and my brakes will go in this weekend!!

UPDATE to this, luckily I kept the H+R 5mm spacers and longer bolts since the wheel just barely touches the caliper!

Picture with 5mm spacer, it clears with about 4-5

Nice! Thanks for the update. Are you doing the install yourself? Let us know how it all works out, and what the deal is on reprogramming the DSC.

They must have updated the list. Thanks for the post. Congrats on the new JCW brake system.

Here is a Link to the older install PDF : Click Here

The coding afterwards is to change the dynamics and maybe dial back the ABS so its not so aggressive.

Thanks

Yes, if it goes smooth I'll do a write up with Pictures. I Already went thru everything that has to be removed and it is very straight forward and no special tools that I don't have. Now that I know I don't have to worry about wheel fitment(I was going to go the trial and error route with spacers) it should be a few hours tops.

Will you be updating your website for compatible wheels?

I just bought a set of spacers from you(still in transit) I won't need I need to exchange for a different item, maybe some EBC Redstuff pads

Yep,

Already updated. Thanks

The EBC Reds are very nice and great for the JCW Red Brake as they are very close to the Red and kind of blend into the caliper. The Green and Yellow really show contrast visually. Vary popular across the board from EBC.

Good luck with the install and post up some pics, this JCW 4 Piston Brembo brake kit is a beauty.

Thanks

Updated bump for fitment, you actually will need a 5mm spacer to make it work!

So it comes a little close with the caliper, on the face. Yea, good thing you kept them. Are you going to space the rear for a flush look say 5mm or 15mm?

I have updated the part, thanks for your help.

No problem, love being a guinea pig

I'm debating on adding rear spacers, it makes sense to just do the rears to so I'll see. Now that I don't need new wheels I have to see where I'll spend the saved cash

Reprogramming?

What about the reprogramming? Is it really necessary? Will the DSC apply too much braking force or something?

You can have it done. Its to just to change the DCS and the ABS a bit so it dials it back a bit is what I have heard, as this brake package is more aggressive.
