Sparkling Silver FTW!

Of the colors we saw this weekend, I was most impressed with sparkling silver. Mellow Yellow was nice too, but sparkling silver was incredible.

Before I go any further, I need to thank everyone at MINIUSA that coordinated to get me a car in the evening to shoot. Without their assistance in arranging the car these next photos would not have been possible.

On with the photos.

Enjoy!

I ordered sparkling silver because the color I 1st wanted was discontinued last year ( a blue color) after seeing these photos, I'm so glad that it was discontinued

Impatiently waiting for SS/black MC, wood interior, chromeline interior......

I love the color, and fits perfectly with the landscape, but I am still favoring my DS! I just couldnt see SS in Delaware haha.

Dave, having seen the SS with a white and black roof, which do you prefer? Thank you for the great pictures.

Wow....that's quite striking, especially against the backdrop like previously mentioned. For grins, I spec'd one in SS/W in the configurator, and I actually thought it looked *really* good. Who knows...I may just go that route afterall. For now, I'm still looked on CR/W for my (eventual) R56 MCS.

oh my, those pics are the first to get me rethinking my plan to get the DS/B. In the right light and background that color is gorgeous. Well back to the configurator

Are those the regular Web-Spoke wheels? They look darker in hue, almost a copper color (looks great with the Sparkling Silver, obviously).

Given the notorious difficulty of showing accurate color over the Internet on a world-wide population of screens, browsers, and operating systems of unknown types, and given the fact that twilight photography can also distort colors, I think this may be a case where your words are worth a thousand pictures. SS definitely moved up to the near the top of my list, but I still can't wait to see it in person at my dealer, soon I hope.

Thanks for the updates; very helpful.

I'm thinking that with a nice 30% tint or so on that glass, that car is going to look downright GORGEOUS!

Actually I begrudge these photos. I was hoping to be the only MCS around with this color, at least for a few months. Now that that darned Dave has posted all these beautiful photos, I fear my hopes are going to be dashed. ;-)

Don't be dashed just yet. There are many of us, myself included, who I am sure are waiting to see many of these colors in the flesh for ourselves when the cars hit showroom floors. While I maintain that this car is stunning set against the sunset-lit rocks of the Arizona desert, it may still be overlooked (i.e., underappreciated) when set amongst a sea of Chili Red, Pepper White, Laser Blue, Astro Black, and BRGreen Coopers. There may be hope for you yet!

Dave

Are the rear bumbers on this silver MCS standard? Also, do you have any pics of white/black MCS or MC from the Press Launch?

Yes those are the stock MCS front and rear bumper covers.

I agree. SS is shares my top choice in exterior color along with AB. But the red interior needs to grow on me... I'll probably like it in the end

Really nice pics Dave

I couldn't disagree with you more, and the Red Lounge Leather looked great when paired with sparklng silver in person.
