Dave, I'm trying to decide between CR/W and SS/B for my 2007 MC. But your photos of the SS/W looked quite nice and you mentioned the combination looked great. I'd be curious to know your preference, the SS/W or SS/B? Thank you again for the beautiful photos.

If it were me, I'd go either SS/W or SS/B. They are both excellent choices. CR/W stood out as a good color combination too, but SS was my favorite color on the R56 (waiting to see nightfire red yet).

The silver is nice, however, there was a Mellow Yellow at the Portland International Auto Show. I didn't bring my camera but should have, an Ariel Atom was there, but the Mellow Yellow was not a good color. It looked like a slightly dirty school bus yellow. Just my take.
Dave, thanks so much for your response and pictures regarding the SS/W and SS/B. I find it interesting that when I tell people (the GM at my dealership included) that I'm contemplating SS/W, they all balk at the combination without even seeing it. I've seen your pictures and I think it looks great. Oh my goodness...these decisions are aging me prematurely. :impatient
SS/B looks really good but I think DS/W is better than SS/W because it has more contrast
I've been tossing around the idea of SS/W for a while and think the reason I'm attracted to it is for the lack of contrast. Plus, this is sorta the only way I'm going to get a scheme close to a PW/W.
Seeing all of Dave's great pictures has only reinforced that SS will be on my next MINI. Now it's a choice of what color to top it off with
