2006 DINAN S MINI COOPER S FOR SALE "Charlize"
Year: 2006
Make: MINI
Model: Cooper
Price: $99900
Mileage: 42222
Color: Dark Silver
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (Region): SoCAl
Beautiful custom build to order 2006 DINAN S MINI COOPER S, in Dark Silver Metallic, with Space Gray/Panther Black Cloth Interior, and interior surface anthracite. Roof and Mirrors also factory ordered in Dark Silver Metallic (rare and beautiful combination on a MINI).
This has been called by others "The Ultimate MINI" and it handles absolutely amazing, but offers a ride quality and comfort that is superior to stock. Will outhandle a JCW equipped MINI and is a dream to drive.
Recently, a similarly equipped 2006 DINAN MINI S was listed for $19,995 with significantly more mileage (23K more miles than this MINI) and sold quickly.
DINAN MINI's are not cheap, but this is an absolute performance bargain at the price of $SOLD$. Each part was researched and hand selected to create an incredible performance car, and all maintenance is up to date. The car was carefully ordered with all the best and rare options, including the LSD and sport chrono package (extra gauges and meters, no huge pie pan speedometer).
I am a meticulous owner, having displayed cars in invitation only Concours d'Elegance events, and take great pride in my vehicles. Typically, my vehicles are sold quickly and often to the first or second person that sees them. I price them to sell and hope they go to a good home. No dealer inquiries please. I want this car to go directly to an enthusiast.
I searched for, found, and purchased this vehicle from the original owner in Northern California in August 2008, with 19,900 miles. It has always been stored inside and well taken care of. I receive many compliments daily on its amazing looks and condition. There are extensive posts and information on this unique and special vehicle on MINI and BMW forums. Recently inspected and serviced and no issues.

Beautiful car. I've been tracking your threads for quite a while as yours is/was one of the only Dinan S's I've had any exposure to other than mine; felt good to know there was another 'mini' Mini group of this particular variety to share with and learn from.
Man, I thought mine was in good shape, but yours is extraordinary. Good luck with the sale, and I hope she stays in the NAM fam.

Beautiful ride Randy. As another Dinan Mini owner, I know how great this car must be. I appreciate your feedback during our conversations. Wish I had known earlier about your thoughts to sell. Someone will be getting quite the Mini! GLWS

It wasn't until just a couple days ago, that I made the difficult decision to sell. Mostly since my older son is going to be very sad when he finds out that we are selling the MINI.

I thought I'd share some of my comments to prospective purchasers here as well:
Recent maintenance info:
On April 25, 2011, at 32,415 miles, Nick Alexander MINI performed a 32 point inspection and also did an oil and filter change on my DINAN MINI.
On May 13, 2011, at 32,937 miles, I had the Radiator Fluid Flushed and replaced, just as preventative maintenance.
On May 17, 2011, at approximately 33,100 miles, I purchased and installed a brand new set of Breyton GTS-R wheels in silver finish, with Hankook Ventus EVO tires mounted and balanced in size 205/45R17, with new 12x1.5mm bolts (keyed).
On March 28, 2012, at 38,996 miles, I had John Jaegar (Owner) and technician Ryan at MiniWorx.com, a local MINI specialist, perform a 32 point inspection on 3/28/12.
There were no comments on the under hood inspection for hoses, belts, pumps, filters, etc. There were comments in the other section, all which were addressed, with the exception of a very minor scuff on a (estimate $25) front passenger side bumper black plastic trim. I wanted them to order it, but they thought it was frivolous and superficial and that no one could see it. It's not really noticeable. I'm currently checking on availability through Pelican Parts.
They installed new Hawk HPS brake pads all around. They installed 5W/30 Synthetic Oil, Mobil 1, and changed the oil filter.
They replaced the control arm bushings in the front suspension, lower control arms - a wear item. They rotated all four tires. They flushed the Power Steering Fluid.
I specifically wanted the Supercharged R53 (versus the turbo), envision the Mad Max like addictive Supercharger whine, and this is the last production year of that chassis, it's definitely the driver's car of the MINI's. I felt fortunate to find it as carefully optioned as it was. I've not readily seen the sport chrono pack option and the sunroof delete and LSD are nice as well. The original owner also had great care and respect for this vehicle.

More photos:
Includes some of the original stickers on the car from the build, perhaps showing the rotation and order of the build. And all the original brochures, manuals, and original DINAN brochure. Includes the original emergency spare key.

The last of the miscellaneous photos, taken today (7/17/12).
Original floormats, generally in superb condition, but the driver's heel pad shows definite wear.
Factory S Intercooler, Hood Air Scoop, Factory S Diverter, Bilstein (for MINI) Jack, MINI Lug Wrench, Passenger Side Factory Cup Holder, Rubber center insert, Cup Holder Container (factory).

Thanks for the inquiry. Ideally, I'd really like to find a potential owner/enthusiast who will appreciate the condition and all the original and extra parts, so I'd prefer to keep it all together as a complete set.
Currently, I do have a few enthusiasts that have indicated an interest.
