Speedometer Layout changed??
I just got my 2011 ALL4 back from getting serviced (oil change). They thought I needed new rear breaks as well, but they said there was a bug in the software and updated it. After I got it back all my settings (radio, car settings ) had been reset. Anyways it must be new that on the steering wheel speedo, now the trip mls does not show on the far right side . It only seems to show up when you toggle threw all the settings. Anyone have any idea if its possible to get this back?
Thanks!
Thanks!

i just got the update done as wel, totally fixed the bogging/hesitation when starting off at idle. You dont have to burn the clutch to take off now.
My speedo does the same thing, the odometer is gone. Also what sucks is the bluetooth voice activation is gone as well.
No new features I can see. The only thing I noticed that MAY be new is that you can hit the info button on HD radio and get the song name, though that might have been there before, not sure.

Unfortunately, the software version numbers are hard to ferret-out. Most folks refer to the "datens" version number. The "datens" file provides editable settings for the various computer modules. IIRC, when a new version of the computer software is installed, a new, updated, "datens" file is issued so the new features of the software can be edited by the dealers.
The two most likely points at which the software was changed (as indicated by the issuance of new datens files) were April of 2011 (v.42) and then again sometime before November 2011 (v.43). By January of 2012, v.44 was released. My 2012 CMS was built in November of 2011 and was delivered without the trip odo showing and a pre-v.44 datens file, so the change had to happen with software issued prior to November 2011. Currently, MINI is using v.48.2 of the datens file. This was released in January of 2013.
So, if you recently had a software update, and it was based on the v.42/43 through v.48.2 datens, you originally had pre-v.42/43 software (which showed the trip odo in the tach).
Clear as mud, right?

Gentlemen,
I figured out how to code the trip odometer back where it belongs with ncs expert....
If you have a 2011 or 2012 cms and got the ecu update you probably lost the display of the trip odometer next to the odometer, having to cycle through the BC to get to it.
I found how to get it back by messing with the KOMBI.. first of all MAKE SURE YOU UPDATE TO THE V48.2 DATENS, then change the following:
WIPER_STAT_DISP
wert_02
to wert_01
code that sucker in and viola, the trip odo is back where it belongs.
