Noise from rear hatch area

Hi Guys

My R58 over bumps has started making a noise over bumps.

I think it might be the roof spoiler that looks like the backwards ball cap ontop of the rear window.

If I grab this part move it I do get a creek noise not sure but this might be the source.

Anyone else have a noise in this area ??.?

Ian

I am sure it is the same problem I had. This is not the spoiler and the dealer has been fast to find it last year before I moved to WA.

Just put some silicon grease on the latch mechanism and it will go away.

I have other issues with interior side trim and seat fabric the dealer is aware and already ordered parts. The Seattle dealer is a day trip to leave the car for service for a few days and come back home...... very time consuming.

What exactly am I lubricating on the hatch, latch or the rubber bumpers or hatch pivot?

Or maybe all of the above?

It's in the latch just as you stated haven't figured out yet how to quiet it down spray didn't work think it's time for a dealer visit.

They might have to adjust the rear latch, my R58 has this done also for noise the, the other place that makes noise id the rear deck connection and the upper deck, both were fixed by the dealer with soft velcro tape on the connections.

LOL.....

Velcro pads?

Please, remove and take pictures. It will save some members a drive to the dealership.

Dont have a picture right now, but the lock adjustment is done by the dealer, guess there was a active memo about that, the velcro is placed on the rear deck / trunk parcel deck connection.

The dealer just put grease on the lock mechanism because it was too dry and the issue never came back. I was there when they did it.

They never removed any trim in the trunk to fit Velcro.
