Fog Light protection

Hi Guys

I noticed a couple of dings on the front Fog Lights does anyone make a Expel protection for them?

Anyone know how much to replace a lens?

These lights are very low in their pods.

It has been my first winter in WA (rain driving) since I own my Coupe from new. I don't have any damage for now.

I would like to know about guys plowing snow and dirt most of the time because the Coupe front end is lower than the other models.

This has been a problem from day one with these.

I covered the fog lights on my Clubman with film, which is lowered. I applied the covers when I replaced my original fog lights. The originals really took a beating here in Massachusetts. I went for the yellow covers. I also slightly modified the replacement fog light housings to accept H8 bulbs.

The covers are difficult to get on...in fact, mine have some creases or folds because of the spherical shape of the fog light lens. The folds aren't very noticeable, but they are there. I heated and stretched them, but I couldn't get rid of the folds and they became a little more pronounced after a few days. I should have researched more on the right techniques of applying the film.

I believe that installing a film on these lenses is a waste of money in the harsh conditions where you live.

I lived in Quebec until the mid 90's and always owned and drove new sports cars as daily drivers even during winter.

Crossing a bridge twice daily to go to work was a killer for low fog lights.
