Since the only stupid question is 1 not asked...[Nos]

Im asking this question as well specific to MY 09 R56 S model mini --so hopefully im within forum regulations by posting here [i.e. the only insight im going to be impressed by is that of folks with same model who know or tried n died..].
In the never ending quest for speed (or maybe in my case a more thorough
coverage thru-out the powerband) . Is Nos an option for a mini R 56 turbo??
Reason asked: im thinking if it has a turbo on it its bound to have forge pistons/head mods to handle the extra temp/pressures....thats not to say i expect it to do miracles at all.....just curious if you can run a small nos/non-burst type with any effectiveness vs cost or potential danger???????? ----
In reality im just trying to layout a long term plan. Firstly in my own mind you gota get a car to where it can STOP before you try to get it to GO faster...but as i said...planning ahead :D .
So now i will throw another question out there.... anyone found a rotor/ pad/4 piston caliper kit for front-rear , for MCS R56 HB that is actually affordable ???? [by that i mean with ss lines total at or below 2k$?? with pads that arent semi metallc .... ( like red, green, reduced dust ect...) and at least having slots but prefer slot/drill or kangaroo slot??
ps: im just asking...i.e. i dont expect to get gold for poop...just silver for..oh..tin maybe? hahaha

Nitrous on an already-high-strung small displacement 4-cylinder?

You're gonna have a bad time...

And with brakes, you get what you pay for.

You really don't want to increase combustion pressure in a engine that already has weak ring lands in the pistons...

Really bad idea, unless you like hearing it go bang!@.. sputter sputter, sputter...

To clarify, the 2009 R56 MCS with the N14 engine does NOT have forged pistons or rods.

People have used nitrous to varying degrees of success and failures. Maybe someone who has actually done it on a stock internals will chime in.

As for the brakes, the stock "S" brakes are actually pretty good unless you plan on a lot of track usage. Switch to a pad with more bite and getting sticker tires will go a long way. The BBKs are mostly for show (and there is nothing wrong with that).

The GP2 Front BBK is a 6 piston calipers for the front and Way Motors Works has them for $1600. I'm not sure if you're going to find a 4 piston caliper for the rear with the way the parking brake works.

NOS is used in normally aspirated motors....cause you need to get more oxygen in to make more power(with added fuel).
On a turbo, YOU CAN already MAKE SO MUCH BOOST YOU CAN GRENADE YOUR MOTOR....
Why add more?!
Simply put...folks don't cause they don't need too...
Besides that...the piston side skirt areas are already are your weak point that can fail with much more than a stage 1 tune ...stage 2 OK usually ...stage 3 boom!! Add NOS...I think you will get a BIGGER BOOM!!

On second thought...
Do it...100% just record it, and post it on utube!!!
Should be pretty short...

im not trolling but I would think a 20-30 shot should work especially in a wet system, no need for a 100 shot, just looking for a bit more I understand, people with r53s can run NoS, the r56 a bit more complicated can be as well.

any car can run nos, and nos isn't just used for N/A cars. and most people that blow the engine put too much in, or don't balance it correctly.

I mean just look at the diesel world, they run 70-100 psi with a two stage nos injection......

it can be done, just take your time and do the research, start small. NoS also keeps IATs down compared to increasing the boost by 30%
