I agree that they are not under powered, it would strictly be for aesthetics if I added anything. It has been tuned so it has plenty of pep for me. I would not mind hearing the turbo kick in a little more. Do you know if the good can fit a aftermarket intake under it? I am wondering because it doesn't have the typical S hood vent.

The Scoop on a Cooper S / JCW is only cosmetic so I would imagine a custom intake would work. But I won't be fitting one to my Goodwood.

Yea, That's what we were trying to figure out. Since it has the LCI+ bumpers but the rear taillights are Pre LCI. Its a great example of a Goodwood with JCW add ons. I have not see many in the Reef Blue .

Sorry linked the old ones by mistake. They are similar, linked above. They have a little more silver chrome look and the inspired by is a different font, as well as the double lines are gone.

It looks like its all one piece, insert, holder, and light housing/bulb , allot of the special edition side scuttles are like this. They come as one complete unit. Example , MINI Camden, Soda, Highgate, WC50, etc...

Thanks

I have a new pair here now warranty replacements for the ones that cracked! Far from good enough on a car this price.

Just bought a Goodwood this weekend. I did a search and this seems to be the most recent thread.

Ian, I saw your post about a registry, any luck getting it going?

btw, my first Mini was an '06, which I gave my daughter when she got her licenses. Thus the user ID.

Welcome to the family.

Did get a new one?

Ian, I bought a used one. I am in Houston and bought if from Mini of Plano, so I put 260 miles on it the first day. It now has around 8,100. Pretty much in mint condition barring a couple of small nicks in the front. The last 5 digits of the VIN are 6627. I've ask the dealer if they can find the build number for me - no word yet.

Ironically, the Goodwood that is currently on eBay is VIN 6628. Have you seen that one? What's the deal with mural on the top? It looks great, but I don't know if it adds to the car or not.

Risky, thanks for the welcome.

Back onto one of my pet hates about the Goodwood.

Build Numbers

I have written to MINI a number of times about this issue and they have said they will not issue build numbers.

Then today I find this. A Playboy Edition MINI with Build numbers! I can't believe they will put build numbers on this and not the Goodwood.

MINI need to wake up and issue build numbers for the Goodwood.

My that black paint is beautiful. I am not referring to the mural on top. That is nicely done but not my taste. The black paint sparkles with a rainbow of colors in some of the close up shots.

I agree, the mural is nice, but not my cup of tea. It had to be expensive to put on. I'd like to know the story behind it as well.

I thought I saw some build numbers posted here. I've asked my dealer if he can get the number but haven't heard anything yet. All we need is number 1 and the VIN and we could figure it out from there.

Ian, thanks for the link to the build info site. There goes my theory about the vin number and the build number. My vin is 386627 and the build date is 20-MAR-2012.

Ian, I know I replied yesterday, but my reply seems to be missing. I will apologize in advance if it shows up and there are two similar replies.

I checked my VIN and the build date is March 20, 2012. The VIN is T386627 so I guess we can't go by the VIN to determine the build number. I still have not heard from my dealer regarding the build number.

Thanks for link to the vin decoder.
