Noise on deceleration/ accelerating in high gears
Some people told me that the noise is not the usual throw out bearing but might be another thing so i recorded a video and uploaded it to YouTube
You can hear the noise at the 2:20 minute mark:
A pull video: did a "money shift" last week btw
If anybody knows what that noise is, i'd really appreciate it!
Thanks!

Sounds just like air being sucked into the intake..-and then the sound changing because you let off the throttle - closing the bypass valve. I would be more concerned with the check engine light

What i'm talking about is the rattling/buzzing noise heard at around 2:18ish when accelerating and decelerating. I'll try to get another video but i think it's very audible if you listen for it in the video.
It almost sounds like two metal gears mashing with each other and vibrating.
I have a friend with the same year R53 and his has no sound at all.
Could it be that it's low on trans fluid? It's really weird

The factory header is known to come apart at the pre cat weld, which results in that very noise. When at WOT and also engine braking during deceleration, the exhaust tends to increase significantly in vibration. The sepeparated cat weld will rattle around the header pipe quite a bit. Give that cat seam a good inspection, a broken weld will be easy to spot. You can either then attempt to repair it or buy a new header. If interested I'm going to sell my ceramic coated OBX, which also includes a flex coupled test pipe witha added

Thank you so much!!!
Finally someone who knows what i'm talking about. Due to some people asking if i changed the trans fluid, i just did it today and it made my shifting less smooth..
Anyways, i've known that my precat is separated when i had it on a lift, but never knew that this noise is coming from it.
Where are you located?

Check engine light is on due to a deteriorating precat so no worries for now.. What i'm talking about is the rattling/buzzing noise heard at around 2:18ish when accelerating and decelerating.
