Check engine lights displayed in nav?
I'm retrofitting chrono rpm/speed onto my 2006, are there any check engine/error lights displayed on the factory navigation?
My plan was to only use the bezel for fuel level, and put my tablet where the factory display would be but I dont want to miss out on any error lights
I already have a separate headunit for audio/bluetooth

what do you mean all 3? I thought the nav computer itself was unrelated to the vin encoding, the housing around it however, does have a vin & miles encoded onto it, and is coded to work with chrono gauges
only problem I might have, the vin/miles may still be unchangable on these center units, checking with the bmw nav forums

Speedo, tachometer, AND CENTER unit...ecu might be needed and BCM, but there is a place in Canada that can recode them, even maybe one of the guys down at helix.
Just swapping the center unit is not enough.....while the speedo and tach LOOKS the same on the non-nac cars, the warning light positions are different .
You say you are doing a chrono pack car. But saving the NAV unit?
