HOLES on the Roof?? What kind of fender bender was this poor GP involved in ?

Check the list of GPs on GBMINI website .. see if is the same original owner selling or not.

this GP Mini was sold to a happy home in SFO, but no more history on it,the holes on the roof must been from a NON-MINI roof rack. too bad.

I will pass on this one. right now is at 6K+ reserved not meet. I asked some questions but no response from the seller.

I do believe you are left with holes Marina. options would be to plug them with rubber caps, or dont take off the roof rack...

The R56/R55 roof rack mounts on the edge and only requires small holes in the black rubber trim, which you can barely see when the roof rack is off. It does not involve cutting holes in the roof like you have to with a R50/R53.

The 08' roof racks DO NOT require drilling holes in the roof. You can install it yourself - we did on our Clubman - piece of cake.

looks to be the roof rack... the R50/53s will require drilling into the roof to ensure that the roofrack will have a mount

Check the shot of the engine bay, the GP intercooler has been replaced with a stock intercooler, and the cover has been painted silver. If the intercooler has been removed, how about the head? Or the GP ecu?

The silver cover is for the standard JCW engine upgrade - but with the unique GP wheels and intercooler removed, you have to wonder what else has gone

I agree, however, the JCW cover does have a JCW Works sticker on it. We have a reply from the seller that said he replaced the GP wheels with a higher performance wheel set.

I saw this listing on ebay also, looked like the engine was missing some GP elements. I got additional pictures from the seller of the damage prior to repairs...check out my link below. Didnt look like the damage would warrant a salvage title or engine swap...strange.

I was looking at driving out to check this out, the car is about an hour north of me.

I looked into buying this car to flip it and came to the conclusion that it has been wrecked twice.....

the pictures that the link above sends you to must be the 2nd wreck.

The first wreck was so bad that they replaced the GP motor with a cooper S (hense the stock intercooler with JCW cover...I would image the JCW kit was installed to get it back to as close as possible to a GP)

This is all just a guess.....too bad...I would have loved to run a GP for the summer and then give her off to a loving owner.....

If it is too good to be true.......you know the rest...

You really have to wonder what else he is hiding as why get rid of the GP wheels for JCW wheels that were on her during wreck. Also how does he or has he ever indicated why there are NON GP parts in the Eng Bay.
