WTF is wrong with my AC??
It's high 80's to 90's in San Diego. I am driving around town allot because I just finished moving and I am doing stuff. It's not like I drive for 5 min and then stop. I will be driving around for quite a while.
So I try to get my AC to turn on. It's just the regular AC. Not the auto AC or anything. It just doesn't seem to kick in at all.
The light on the AC button lights up.. Sometimes it will take FOREVER for the air to get cold and sometimes it just takes a quick minute. Today I drive around for a long time and nothing. I know the AC system is good because some days it works like a champ. I even used the glove box cooler feature once.
Think it could be a vacuum issue? Electric connection? I didn't check a fuse because the light turns on when I hit the AC button.. I really need this issue to change. I was SO pissed today when I just wanted the AC and all I got was hot air.

Check to see if the compressor clutch engages when the A/C is turned on. If it does, it could be you are just low on freon and need to have the system charged.
If the A/C has been recently serviced and it was overcharged or if the system is undercharged, it could keep the clutch from engaging normally as part of the built in safety feature of the pressure switch. This is usually indicated by the compressor engaging momentarily and then disengaging.
Beyond that it is likely an electrical/control unit issue.
I wish I could be more help.
