Driveguard vs. Primacy MXM4

Sticking with run-flats. Son and wife drive the car and I don't want them stranded. Plus ride is not bad.

Had the Bridgestone Driveguards on our 2010 Clubman and liked them (so much better than what came on there). BUT, we didn't drive that in the winter. We DO drive the our ALL4 in the winter however. And from what I read, the Driveguards are not that great in the snow. The Michelins appear to be a touch better in the snow, but wear really fast. Had that tire on our MDX (was not runflat) and we barely got 20K out of it.

Truth be told, the OEM Pirellis are not bad.- except the fronts are toast at 20K. Rears have 5/32s left but I'll probably change all four. So...

Go with the Driveguard and deal with a little less snow traction or go MXM4 and deal with them wearing out faster?

i just got the mxm4 225/40/18 on 18x8 wheels

ride is so much better than the stock summer ( thicker sidewall).
i live in NE, so winter i need the occasional snow traction just in case the plows are overwhelmed and not plow the streets

I just replaced my original run-flats with P Zero Nero (non run-flat) and wish I had replaced them with run-flats similar or the same as the originals. I prefer the stiffer sidewalls.
