I've installed the JCW (Brembo) calipers, discs and pads on my Cooper S.
Never really satisfied about the braking performance. So i decided to buy the best upgrades i could.
- steel brake lines
- 2-piece DBA discs
- Endless ME20 pads.
This is a killer setup.
But i'm still not happy about the pedal feel...
feels sponghy, bled it so many times but brakes still feel the same.. Now i've noticed when starting the car and applying brake pressure the pedal slowly moves to the floor. It's not solid hard at any point.
they brake fine, but even with this setup it feels like they are fading when you stop 5x from 70mph to 15mph. You need to push much harder after doing that a couple of times.. any ideas?

When you upgrade to the JCW brake kit the Cooper S needs a flash from Mini to resolve this, the flash is primarily for the ABS and Cruise Control.
Alternatively, if you're pretty good with Esys or EsysX you could code them yourself. link to a thread that covers this here.
