Stock 16s - Max Tire

Hi Everyone, I just recently picked up a 2015 volcanic orange f55 and I am trying to find out how much rubber I can fit under the car.. I did a search and found a lot of people discussing sizes on 17s and 18s but not a lot of details on 16inch wheels. I am planning to build a SCCA STX car and for now I wanted to keep the stock size wheels until I get a better feel for the car; but sticker rubber. For a FWD car, STX allows up to 265 so I am looking at 225s or 205s if I cant get the 225s to fit. Based on calculators, 205/50 and 225/50 are not too far off from the 195/55 that came on the car stock. The 225s have a great selection (at good prices too) and per tirerack can be run on 6.5inch rim. My question is will the 225s fit on stock ride height? Do I need spacers (I dont mind a little poke, but nothing crazy)? Eventually I will lower the car, which I assume will require spacers for the 225s; but by that point I may have changed my wheels to something with a better offset.

Thanks for the help, and I hope to be here awhile!

Edit: STX not STU

I ended up going with 205s with the plans to go 225s when I needed replacements. I ended up changing out my wheels though before that happened.
