In order to calculate shipping charges; each tire/wheel combo weighs about 40.5 pounds... I suppose I could deflate them for a little weight savings if necessary.

Bump.

I think this awesome tire/wheel set is getting tired of hanging out in my dining room...

Are those doohickeys on the lip of the rim balance weights or are those the tpms sensors? Haven't seen these up close before.

Those doohickeys are balance weights. My car was built right before the new TPMS sensors were installed on R56 Coopers - so I have the old style TPMS associated with the ASR - DSC control.

They sure are pretty, though...

I read another thread and got educated on tpms. You're lucky to have the older style, methinks. But what was the factory thinking when they mounted the weights on the outside???

I was quite relieved to discover I had the older TPMS. I didn't have to do or reset anything at all with the new rims and tires. As far as the weights on the rims of the S-Winders - your guess is as good as mine.

A little too big to fit in my stockings, I'm afraid.

I guess it depends on the stocking... right?

I suppose somebody could wrap them up in paper and bows if the stocking is a little snug.

I already have a set like that: sold the tyres and put snows on them. They work awesome on Lewis now, and I like keeping the stock-ish look. So to anyone else: that's a good deal, and they're easier to clean than my S-lites.

Thanks for the shout-out. I think it's a good deal too.
