Most systems work with Harman Kardon (noted in red) and NON Harman Kardon System (AKA Basic audio systems). Non Harmon Kardon MINIs will have less speakers from the factory and will not have the Harman Kardon logo on the tweeter speaker grills.
2007-2009 Gen 2 MINIs with factory HiFi and Non Harmon Kardon can use either basic upgrade or Harman Kardon upgrade
