Anyone replace their speakers on a car with Harmon Kardon system?
What speakers did you get?
I think the speakers could be a little brighter..
Had Alpine F17 speakers on my last car and I miss those.

 

I have/had the harmon kardon system. I wanted to change the radio. With that system, b/c it runs through an amp in the back no one part can be changed. I ended up having to change the head unit, speakers and install all new wiring. I put in a Blaupunkt CD 74 Bremen w/ Blau Overdrive speakers. The system sounds amazing but it was a nightmare to put in. If you have some experience with car electronics its worth it but be prepared. Hope this helps.

 

There are multiple threads in Audio discussing this issue. I had the same experience and ended up replacing everything. The sound is fabulous with multiple more options for sound variations. It is pricey if you go higher end. The install takes time but is not that complicated. Again there are multiple threads describing and showing with pics how to do everything. Good luck! RR
