Our baffled oil pans have 3 trap doors and a box shape to keep the oil around the oil pump pickup. They are welded into brand new oil pans so no stripped drain plugs to be concerned with. We have been running this oil pan in our race MINI since 2006, and has been used by many other race MINIs including pikes Gran Am race MINIs, pikes peak race MINI, among many normal track day users.
We found this to be an ideal setup as it wasn't something that hung down, or was just a wall on each side of the pickup.
